During the support life time of the game what do you think brought the most value?

BW added a ton of stuff:

  • New characters
  • New Weapons
  • New maps
  • Weekly balancing
  • Weekly operations
  • New enemy faction (Collectors)
  • New difficulty level (platinum)
  • Challenge point system

What added the most value and made the game last longer for you?

Everything was gr8 and added up, but I think if I had to pick one thing it would be maps. Maps were the one thing I missed in reckoning, it would have been gr8 if they had released a couple of more maps.

It's really hard to say what was the most important thing. I think new characters and maps, the addition of Collectors, the weekly balance changes and even weekend operations were all hugely important for this game. New weapons added more power creep than anything else. I know challenge point system was really important for some, but I couldn't care less. Platinum - well, I'm not sure how important that was in the grand scheme of things - it's a small minority that plays it.

Just the novelty of something new. It's one of the reasons I think the whole Patching process has kept people entranced with WoW. Just enough of a change to recapture your attention. I know I got drawn into ME3MP again when I heard the Collectors had been added.

Yeah, probably for the time/money invested platinum brought the least, but it was still a gr8 addon I think.
Prior you would move from bronze to silver, and silver to gold, now you could switch between two different levels.
(also all those old-white/rio/giant reaper games during the manifest grind that almost made me loose my sanity gotta count for something  )

Challenge points

Weekend ops

Collectors

I listed challenge points first because I overplayed a set of favourite weapons and kits, and the CP system motivated me to give other combinations another look. That, in turn, revitalised the game for me as I learned to embrace the diversity we were offered. To be clear, it was not about chasing points, only that extra nudge to try different things. I can understand how players who didn't need that extra motivation would be ambivalent toward the CP system, and it's great that the game engages players on different levels.

Weekend ops ensured that I'd be playing at least once a week and never let the game slip out of sight while they were still supported.

Collectors.

Harrier's impact on game was colossal, i didn't even believe that relatively light Assault Rifle can work in this game until it was implemented.

All of it. But if I had to pick one thing, I would say that the game was simply insanely fun and addictive, if it was not, no amount of support would have kept me playing for so long.

That's a no brainier really, it's the new stuff we got to use/play of course. The thrill of awaiting new balance changes and the best of all - weekend events which were cool but could have been even better. All hopes for the new game :)

All the stuff starting by "new" in your list, especially getting new characters and weapons, the most exciting for me. Weekly operations were cool too. As the opposite, I didn't care a lot about balance changes, nor about the challenge points system (though I admit that it encouraged me a little to use more different weapons).

Definitely the new kits, weapons and maps we got - they added so much more variety to an already pretty diverse range of options we had at launch. Special mention to the balance changes too, they were always interesting and produced some good moments around here.

Probably the maps, kits and weapons more than the balance changes- they never really got the balance right IMO, and the huge variety in kits and weapons is definitely part of what made this game so replayable. But Collectors and Platinum were huge- I can't really imagine maxing a manifest by playing all Gold matches, would've taken forever. Just wish Collectors weren't so cursed on lolps3 (not to mention half the fockin' maps).

Actually I remember things like this thread that I did just for the lulz and troll a little bit: http://forum.bioware...ot/?hl= redjohn

Some people just went really wild in that time, and even after the nerf, some of them were blaming me because of that thread, oh my, it was epic.
