I really didn't like either of the choices we face at the end of the Legacy DLC and I'm really worried about it carrying over into DA:I. What did you decide and why? Larius or Janeka?

I usually pick Larius, since I like his Labyrinth better and I think Janeka is biting off more than she can chew. Still, I wouldn't worry to much about it. What will be will be and I have full confidence in your skill in handling what will come. Meanwhile, I will sit here and watch over the comfy chairs. :D

Aw, thanks! That's a good way to think about it! :^D

I will be honest here: either way, I'm pretty sure Corypheus is dealt with in the same way. Then creepy music plays as whoever you sided with stumbles. So, uh...

Just in case, go with Larius? I guess? Like, that body's all Tainty and it'll probably be a mild annoyance. That'll show 'im.

I tend to side with Larius , it just seems to me that Janeka is being sublimely controllled by Corypheus . Still the way Larius speaks in that final conversation has left me wondering whether Corypheus is actually finished or that

Hawke has unwittingly released him .

I usually side with Larius too. Releasing the powerful darkspawn mage seems like a bad idea no matter what and it's pretty clear from the start that Janeka won't be able to control him. Anyway, choose whoever you want, because from the looks of it Bioware managed to railroad that "choice" into the same outcome. I doubt Janeka vs. Larius matters much in DAI.

I believe both were being controlled by Corypheus.

Though RPing I generally go with Larius because he says wants to destroy Corypheus

I chose Larius always. The Wardens wanted Corypheus caged period. Janeka is arrogant in thinking she knows better then all the Wardens and Commanders who have come before her since he was first caged. Since I love the Wardens, I can not ever side with her. To think she actually knows more about him and what to do then anyone else irks me so much I just can't ever side with her. Sure Larius was a jerk with his history with your Father, but the Wardens have always believed in whatever it takes to get it done. When Hawke sides with Larius, Hawke tells Janeka something like Larius is terrible for threatening Hawke's Father, but he is still right.

Also, thinking about it just now, Whether he was threatened or not Hawke's Father agreed to help keep Corypheus sealed away. Hawke's Father leaves various messages about what he did there and sounds very convinced that what he did was right. So siding with Janeka kind of feels like your saying your Father was wrong too.

I always side with Larius, except for the one time I chose Janeka purely to see what was different. I think she's crazy for thinking she can control Corypheus, and Larius is definitely correct in wanting to destroy him. Although said destruction didn't appear to work.

In the Keep, however, I'm mixing up siding with Larius/Janeka, as I want to see if there is a difference between them in DAI. :)

Is that more reason to side with Larius, or less?

If Cory can mind-control people as Larius claims (nothing funny about him making that accusation all of a sudden), then he too must be placed under suspicion. Hell, he is more corrupted and closer to the Darkspawn than anybody else in the room.

Generally, guys who seek to backstab you will claim to be on your side and oppose the guy(s) whom they are actually allied with.

Mass Effect 2 DLC spoiler ahoy:

I sided with Larius. I have to say, the whole "Awakening" business in Amaranthine strongly suggests that there are things which are even worse than Blights, and super-powerful blood mages from Ancient Tevinter controlling Darkspawn and Wardens together is possibly one of those things. My Warden-Commander killed the Architect based on a similar sort of reasoning, and Anders mentioned that decision to Hawke in my playthrough.

I don't think that the choice itself of Larius or Janeka will have significant outcome in DA:I. But....well, I don't want to spoil anything, but lets just say that the Legacy DLC has an impact in the following game, if rumours are to be believed.

Extraordinarily powerful, mind-controlling, darkspawn-related entity trying to break out of its centuries-long prison? Yeah, I'm gonna side with the guy who wants to kill that with fire.
