Yeah. That windmill in Redcliffe is damaged, but it's down-right wacky inside of it.
Watch the gear closed to the main axle. It'll turn one way, then reverse... while the gear connected to it by a belt continues to turn the same way... while the gear connected to that gear turns the opposite way it should turn. I'm not even asking for the shadows to work correctly. It just bugs me to see something so glaringly incorrect in something that was probably best left static. (IOW, why bother doing it if it's wrong?)
I have no clue where to start on fixing it. Anyone know how? Anyone done it?
Yeah. It's cosmetic, but some of you are upgrading that kind of stuff.
Can someone fix that danged bewitched windmill?

Sounded like a plan to me, Reuben...
Maybe beer would fix it? Beer fixes most things.

Maybe if we throw enough empty beer cans at it it might work!
First we gotta empty it though *nods*

We could write a story about it being fixed. What's the motivation of the windmill, why is it broken? Was it a storm? Did I break it during the Battle of Redcliffe with my Storm of the Century?

I will fix it with fanfic!
Ahem.
One day an apostate mage came to Redcliffe because she was out of flour. The miller recognized her as an apostate and sent his apprentice to the Chantry down the hill to fetch some templars.
When the mage realized she had been betrayed she cast a curse upon the mill so that no gear would work the way it should. Then the templars killed her.
The miller hung himself from one of the broken gears, the apprentice took up farming and the templars had ice cream.
The end.

The Windmill had always longed to be smithy. It was very jealous of the smithy down the hill. All the windmill ever got to do was stand in the cold wind and allow it to move the gears that ground the corn and wheat and rice into flour.
One day, during a massive blizzard that spun in from Lake Calenhad, the blades spun so quickly, the poor windmill thought it was going to lose them! Buffeted and blown, the poor windmill strained to keep hold of its blades. But suddenly, with a loud crack! the ropes that connected everything snapped and the gears shifted, turning endlessly in the wrong direction.
The windmill still wanted to be a smithy more than ever! It could fix itself if it were a smithy. But the citizens of Redcliffe had bigger problems than a broken windmill... they were being invaded by the undead!
So, the discontent windmill sat up on the hill, lurching against the wind, waiting to be fixed.
Only Teagan could save it now.

Once upon a time, there was a little windmill. It wanted nothing at all except to be like the big windmills on the hills. Alas, the littlest windmill just couldn't catch enough wind. But, it would not give up and it stretched and stretched until its arms caught the tips of a strong breeze. Soon, the little littlest windmill was spinning at an alarming clip. Spinning and spinning and spinning... It began to get tired, but the wind would not stop. Twisting and turning despite its best efforts to slow its movements... Until with a shrieking groan of wood splintering, the littlest windmill felt something inside give way.......
And it spun no more. Forever.
Ooo, windmill angst!

One thing that needs to fixed in the game, or the sequel(s), is the number of girls in it as other classes than just mages.
Having a extremely BA girl in the party would be awsome
i.e two bad@$$ chicks, skip to 13:34 to see what i mean
oh guys, you'll love it!
