I purchased the game from the AUS store(Since i live in AUS). Now my question is if I switch my Xbox ones region to USA and then download the game from the US store will it let me play the game when the people of US do? or will I still have to wait until the 20th?.

Good question, and since I don't know the answer, but didn't want to leave you hanging, I would Google it. For some reason I think most consoles have region locking problems, but since this is a digital purchase I wouldn't know.

Thanks for the reply. Google wasn't very helpful.Technically the time it unlocks should be tied to where it is downloaded from not where it's purchased. But i guess I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope it unlocks on the 18! .

Good luck! And even if it doesn't unlock on the 18th, don't worry! It's only 3 days the rest of us have to wait too! Just make sure not to Youtube any gameplay videos

I'll have to have a total Internet black out to avoid spoilers haha. But luckily I have MCC to tide me over until the 20th if I have to wait.

Unlock time zone is based on which region store you purchased the digital licence not from which store you download it from.

You could try downloading from the AUS store then changing your region to US and see if you can play it on Tuesday (although you'll be waiting until late Tuesday evening before you can play it)

 

I tend not to switch location after I pre-purchased something, just in case it doesn't recognise the purchase in the new region.
