Both DAO and DA2 had S/S warriors as the superior damage dealer to the 2H warrior on similar builds.

Weren't 2H warriors just fine power wise at DA2 release.  I know they changed it later but I had stopped playing by then

Definitely not just you bro. It still baffles me as to why anyone would want to be a warrior when you can be a mage.....hell even the rogue has a few awesome tricks like stealth and lock-picking but a warrior? I see no point for the warriors to be playable.....they don't have awesome magic and they can't access locked places and treasure plus for a warrior to take a sword against the stealthy rogues and mages seems more like taking a knife to a gun fight.

Boring? Hardly.

Amongst all the arrow shooting, spell-flinging and stealth-related shenanigans other classes pull off, there's a primal satisfaction in grabbing the biggest weapon you can find and smashing fools with it.

My first PC is going to be a mage because Knight Enchanter admitedly looks awesome. My second is going to be a Reaver who tears stuff up with reckless abandon, and the third probably a Champion who seems to be straight up impossible to kill.

Ha! Me too. Though except for my my 3rd character, that will probably be a Tempest of some kind.

Warriors are always fun I play all classes but when I play a warrior in DA games I always rp it as a mage hater makes a little more interesting.

As for 2h damage vs 1h damage in origins its pretty close not gonna lie. The 2h spec has some advantages with the sunders and indomitable.

I dont think 2h was ever meant to be a damage dealer like a mage or the rogue but rather an auxiliary support tank a scrapper just like it says in tactics.

In da2 a 2h warrior could deal pretty good damage as shown in that video.

Some people only play mages or only play rogues and thats fine in the past when I played mmo's i wouldnt play any character with any kind of support roll because i knew my add would kick in and people would die and getting yelled at isnt fun. I got used to playing boring meat shield classes and making the best out of it.

Dragon age warriors are much more fun than any mmo melee class simply cause they can do more.

I had one play through on origins as a dwarf sword shield warrior that I could not stand I was so bored. I switched him to dual wield berzerker/reaver with my raven respec mod and beefed up allistair. The game became so much more fun and I was able to complete my play through.

Allistair was doing all the hard work at that point and I was just scrapping. I dont think I would have finished that game otherwise.
