Ok so its already been stated that there will be day one DLC thats free for all who get a new ME 2 game.
and its also been anounced that A second DLC pack, set for release "after launch" will included the Hammerhead

My question is will this one be free as well?
I ask this because mainly it was discussed some time ago that the "hammerhead" would replace the mako... so it would be concluded that it would already be in the game.... So if we have to buy the hammerhead what would it be used for?

Yes, it will be free, all Cerberus Network content is free. As for what it will be used for, the hammerhead includes at least one N7 mission that it will be required for, and no doubt future addons will use it as well.

It's only on the official webstite.

Once you are a member, Cerberus Network content is available to you at no extra charge.

But maybe you're right, only assumption.

Yes, the Hammerhead WILL BE FREE DLC. That specifically.

This is NOT an assumption. This was confirmed by Casey Hudson

The free day-one DLC offered via the Cerberus Network includes a set of armor, a gun and a new character who is introduced via an extra mission. EA confirmed to Kotaku today that the previously announced Hammerhead hover tank will also be a Cerberus offering, free to those who have joined the Network.

Ah, nice one.

I wasn't sure of that either, but that's actually a pretty sweet deal

The Hammerhead, Zaeed Massini, a new planet, Cerberus Assault Armor are ALL confirmed as free DLC for purchasers of ANY new copy of ME2. All of the above will be available DAY 1, except for the Hammerhead, which will come a little later

Also it says "Additional paid DLC will be available and will not require the Cerberus Network to purchase" that says to me not all content from this network will be free, also says nothing about the hammerhead which concludes that this (hammerhead) will not be free ...

So Jav what do you think? The 2 reasons for this cerberus network stuff is

1) to avoid people purchasing the game 2nd hand

2) because there was barely enuff space to fit all the content on 2 discs

IMHO thats what I believe

Your Arrogance proceeds itself, not only did you continue to pretend you knew more then the average fan (in the old forum), you have showed more arrogance by continuing to instigate that that the hammerhead was part of the actual game, but now are so confident to tell me that the Hammerhead is free , just because you post alot of  pictures that does not mean anything i will continue to wait for confirmation from a DEVELOPER thank you ...

If I get the CNC later than the release date, will I still get the free "day one" DLC?

(Non-express shipping. I asked before; people said I will, but I'm just making sure it hasn't changed.)

Some people need to pay attention. Its been confirmed by Casey Hudson already that the items available for download via the cerberus network will indeed be free. Then you want to attack a helpful forumite because you haven't been paying attention, smh. Thats not nice

Well I think primarily it was to totally shut down 2nd hand game sales which I think for the most part it will savagely cut down 2nd hand sales.

If you find a used copy of ME2 for 45 dollars, and you want the free DLC offered periodically, you'll have to spend 15 more dollars buying the Cerberus Network which brings the price back up to 60, the same price for a new copy.

As for the content, I think they simply couldn't fit it all. And the content obviously isn't  on the disc itself, seeing as you have to download actual space for the DLC files on your HDD.
So a bit of both I think.

But the Hammerhead is free. Kotaku confirmed it with EA

that article only say's EA has confirmed Hammerhead would be free, it sounds very vague to me, knowone has annouced it no developer, not even an EA rep, has said the hammerhead is free, so expect me to believe a site that can say whatever they want to spice up an article, and except that as gospel no thank's i believe and still believe that the hammerhead will definetly be content that you will have to pay for, the same way you consistently claimed the actual hammerhead was still in the game (without downloads pre-packaged )

You are very naive... and very rude. It HAS been confirmed. If you can't except that, then you are either blind, foolish, or both.
