Anyone else's downloading going backwards? (PC Origin)

So I've always been rather happy with Origin, never had issues with downloads with it. In fact, it was Steam that would always restart downloads after pausing.

But today I noticed that my download was LESS than it was last night. I have a slow connection due to living in a rural area and so I leave it on for the 2 days it's going to take to download at 150 kbps.

But it will be at 7 GB then when I look over 2 hours later it's somehow at 6.3 GB, then it will get to 8 GB and then it will go back to 7.2 GB.

Anyone else encountering any issue? I've googled this and apparently it goes back to at least BF3 and happened to people for BF4. None of the suggested fixes worked so I guess I just have to wait.

Some of those old threads said though that when it gets to 100% it just won't launch because the download is 100% borked.

They kinda rollback quite a bit when your download halts and then start it over, it happened to me thrice as I was downloading since yesterday.

I sorta feel you, it took me 24 hours to download everything..

Mine was doing this when I was downloading and my speed slowed down. But as soon as I got the download at a good speed again, it jumped back to where it was before.

Well if your connection cuts off during downloads of big files (like 1GB or more) when your download resumes again it dumps the incomplete file even if you downloaded like 99% of it, and starts to download the file from scratch. My guess is that is what's causing your backwards moonwalk preloading.

Origin's download interface can be really funky, as you've noticed. It often claims to be downloading faster than my connection can even go. There's really no saying if you're downloading more than you should, or if it's just a UI error.

I started at 11:00 AM Friday and It rolled back from 20 to 10 percent before dinner on Friday.  When I returned from dinner it was at 30%, and a few hours later at 11:00 PM, the down load was complete.

Odd, but DAI is on my hard drive a few days early, so all is forgiven.
