Thank you, I sorted it!  Basically I didn't realise they didn't take payment for pre-orders until release so my card details were out of date, so until now I wouldn't have known, in my panic I went to all the bad places first and didn't check what I should have.  The relief is phenomenal.  You can delete the thread

I had the same email this morning, but on checking found some weirdness. The pre-order tried to use an expired CC from when I set up my Origin account some years ago. The odd thing is that I have a current card on file which I've used on Origin many times, as recently as 2 weeks ago, and which was the only card registered at the time I pre-order DA:I.

 

The weirdness, when I followed the link in the email to change my account details, was that the ONLY card option in the drop down list was for the current card and not the original card I registered when I set up my account, so I'm kind of wondering where "the system" go it's old details from.

 

Hopefully all should be good now, as I "told" the pre-order to use the current card and I'll be good to go on the 21st.

That's pretty much what happened to me, although I did use the old card which expired in July to pre-order, I thought that they billed straight away so thought no more of it.  When I clicked my payments tab in Origin the only options I had were my current card and paypal, it wasn't until I clicked the payments link on the actual order that I realised what had happened.  My old card..which isn't even on my payments list anymore, so I just updated the details, it all looks good to go for me now, my game in origin has a nice shiny "New" tab in the corner and the achievements are now showing up, which they weren't before.

 

This is maybe good info for those people who thought payments had already been made I guess, especially if they used cards that expired this year.
