Not really. Gaspard still has the whole him wanting to reconquer their lost lands thing going against him.

He will have to rebuild his forces after the losses from the breach, civil war and mage-templar war. That will take a few decades. And I'm betting he'd wait Until King Markus of Nevarra and his brother die anyway (Maybe help them along) before making a move, so he can strike at Ferelden while Nevarra is in civil war. For they are to close to the capital at the moment for him to risk loosing more land to them.

Yes, war is a negative.

I think nations are won by blood. For the most part. If they want a nation, people will have to fight (and die).

There's no excuse for stripping people of their entire culture though. A nation is one thing. Culture is something else.

Thedas can be united but not under same culture but with tolerance for other cultures.

*Spits in disgust*

That notion sickens me.

Such is the way things happen, persecution and forced conversation has never worked before, at least not on large scale.

Yeah do you have anything to back that up?

The burning of the Library of Alexandria.

The burning of nearly all Latin American texts.

The destruction of Byzantine libraries by Islamic forces.

The destruction of Narlanda.

I can keep going.

Uhm... you might want to...

Never mind I'm having too good a day to rain on someone's parade.

Well, the Dalish culture is reduced to "let's isolate ourselves and worship a bunch of gods that ignore us."

I happen to be a halfbreed/mongrel/what have you. I can't possibly argue for anything else except toleration of other cultures. I wouldn't even be born otherwise :P

I think 20,000,000 people and the absorption of separate territories into an actual country is enough of a success story don't you?

Course we might be thinking of a differing unification.

I'm not a troll. I just do not support Gaspard.

It's very blatant trolling to say Gaspard is going to treat elves as fodder.

All the gods ignore everyone. Including the Maker.

Unless you worship demons and dragons. ;)

Right around that point I'd be thinking it might be a better idea to trade to a god that doesn't care as opposed to ones who literally cannot hear you.

Yeah no real life examples, though I know you were gonna name one. The thing is our history is full of such events however the people on the side of tolerance always "won" (or the dictatorship was gone, no matter the cost), now the majority of the world tolerates, that's human evolution.

No, it is just my opinion of what he'll do. If that's trolling, than any prediction of what future games will have is trolling.

And when you use charged words just to get a reaction without any evidence, it's called, you guessed it, trolling.

Accidental fire

Untranslatable for the most part, nor particularly unique

Usually accidental, the Ottomans were very keen on preserving the legacy of Rome

I'll give you that one

War also promotes invention, science, and the arts

But I was talking about your "Gaspard is only helping elves so he can kill more of them later"

At least the Maker had some reasons "Those guys are d***s, I'm gonna ignore them."

He changes his mind and returns "Those guys are still d***s. I'll ignore them even harder."

But the Creators forgetting about the elves makes no sense. If they get upset over them for welcoming some humans, then they're not worth worshiping.

Because division will still exist, difference will still exist, conformity is the cure for that.

Dalish lore claims the elven gods were betrayed by the trickster who imprisoned all of them, therefore they cannot do anything but ignore for the time being.

I've never see anything about Creators forgetting. Or did I miss something?

I thought they're just AWOL for mysterious reasons. Or maybe they got screwed by Fen'Harel somehow.

Sorry, everything I said has evidence behind it, Lob. But I'm glad to see you care enough to respond to points not even made to you.
