I sure will play as an elf in several play-throughs. Elves are my favorite fantasy race and three out of five of my Wardens are elves, so I intend to continue this tradition in Inquisition and hopefully future DA games. ![]()

That's interesting. Thank you for sharing, Lulupab. It's good to know that there will be at least one person who will be accepting of an elven Inquisitor who doesn't adhere to Andrastian cultural or religious beliefs.
That's a nice scene.
Anytime. Josephine might be the best romance for male Inquisitor who wants to keep his Dalish Identity. Solas and Sera are very good in this manner too but they are female specific, so...

@Nightshade715 Yes me too, sadly, Hawke is a human only protoganist, and I couldnt keep the Dalish heroes tradition at DA2. at least dalish heroes for me yes? There are lots of city elf fans out there, I am a fan of both the Dalish and the City Elves. Other than that I was so glad when they have said that they will put the inquisitor to be a dwarf and an elf, instead of what they have planned at the begining that the Inquisitor should have been a human only, and after they have confirmed that the Inquisitor will be able to be an Elf and a Dwarf, they've confirmed the Qunari too... But what was important to me was that I COULD FINALLY PLAY AS A DALISH MAGE..

Dude i have it and i can be funny. its why i fell in love whith her.
culture shock only explains so mutch. unless she is even more like me and uses the quiet cuteness as a front.
In a way she does, Carver will call her out on it in Legacy. Carver says something and she misinterprets it, he tries to explain, stops, and asks if she's playing stupid on purpose and all she does is laugh.

I'm excited to be able to play a dalish elf once again! Been looking forward to it, I just wish they hadn't lost the vallaslin meaning to the dark depths of marketing...
*shrug* Either way I've narrowed down the vallaslin that look good to me. I've always liked the DA elves, the dalish especially.

I've heard Josephine is protective of the Dalish Inquisitor. As for a romance, I suppose it depends on the type of elven Inquisitor who encounters her. Cassandra and Josephine both seem like good characters in their own right, and my apprehension about Cassandra's ties to the Chantry has dissipated since viewing some of the preview footage, but it does seem like romance with either character would involve some sacrifice on the part of the elven main character; if the elven character doesn't want to live among the shemlen indefinitely and wants to return to have a life with the Dalish, pass on his heritage and religion to his children, then I could see some logical issues.
As it stands, I am pleased that it seems like Josephine would be a good friend and confidant for an elven Inquisitor who might feel marginalized and isolated among a sea of Andrastians who either see him as little more than an elf, or the Herald of Andraste.

I'd argue that Cass wouldn't necessarily have an issue with a Dalish player. I think it'd be a great romance arc.

Oh Cassandra is quite flexible and can pretty much surprise you, I have no doubts about that. It was simply refreshing to know Josephine is quite open-minded and kind to none-human Inquisitors, specially Dalish elf.

Oh, fair enough. I haven't seen much of Josie's dialogue with non Humans, but I have seen some good stuff with Cass. Both seem like pretty good romances for Dalish.

My elf will probably be my second playthrough. Mage, I reckon, for the sake of differentiating her from my Warden a bit. Probably a bit more of an extremist than she was too.
I'm not sure which specialisation fits a Keeper the best. I was thinking Rift Mage, though I could see Necromancer working too. KE would probably take more explaining. Maybe she's an Emerald Knight wannabe.

Emerald Knights aren't worth venerating in my humble opinion but a Dalish could think otherwise.

I'm kinda wanting some Emerald Knight Armor for my guy. I think KE or Rift Mage is pretty good for you, Snook. And for the KE....
After all, Arcane Warriors were a big thing for ancient elves too.
