I know this has been mentioned before, but I wanted to mention it again in case there's an actual problem.

Playing on the Xbox One and using the 6 hour trial via EA access I've spoken to a few people on a small forum who have all had issues with this. They all loaded in their custom world from the Keep prior to starting a new game, but not all of their decisions were reflected. One guy had virtually everything wrong, another had all his Origins choices right but his DA2 ones were wrong. For myself, I'm honestly not sure, I was just too busy running around going 'corrr, look at that, it's so cooooool', but a few people on a small forum having difficulties says to me that they've all either done something wrong or there is a problem.

I noticed when using the keep that all decisions are already made. As standard, the wording under the pictures is on a black band, if you change the decision, or confirm the one already there, these change to a grey band. I have no idea if this makes a difference or not, but is it possible that 'grey decisions' are locked in and transfer across in game but 'black decisions' are being altered as they're not locked in? Just a completely random suggestion.

Also, these guys named their Keep states something specific, but when they came to load them in, they couldn't find a state with that name, it just said 'default'. Is there a chance these keep states aren't actually being loaded in at all? In my idiocy, I named my state as 'default state', so I have no idea if that's my state or not, but I'm not too concerned as I intend to start over again anyway once the game is released.

Either way, I wanted to give some feedback I've picked up, these guys don't ever use these forums, I'm the only one who does so I'm sort of a spokesdude for them. Hopefully we can figure out what's wrong in due course and I can let them know before friday.

You were supposed to press Y to load a custom ws. You need to have the XBL linked to your origin account

I think that what's actually happening here is more likely just another case of "I thought the Keep will make my decisions for me". Forgive me if I'm wrong. Do those guys you're talking about actually bothered to select their decisions in the Keep or did they just imported the default world state from the Keep into the game?

Rather did they read the notice on the tapestry that's been there since the Keep went open beta? No decisions get imported at all. How people don't understand at this point astounds me.

Now in the chance that they made their decisions manually and their world state isn't reflecting. Then they need to go to the world state manager and look at the playthrough States and check to see if the correct one was loaded properly and if not then they got to restart and before they do follow the export directions after they made their tapestry choices

Forgive me for saying, but I don't appreciate how you all assumed people were too stupid to do things properly. Yes they used the keep correctly, they made their choices and exported it to the cloud and yes they pressed y to load the state first, but still there are issues.

Choices don't transfer into the keep, and have to manually change choices in the tapestry. I think you and your friends need to go back to the keep, and go through each tile. There's a tutorial in there if you are confused.

The grey out bar means that you changed the choice, black bar means you didn't touch the tile.

Also on the main menu of the DA:I it should prompt you if you want a keep world state(Make sure you are logged into Origin at the main menu screen of DA:I)

Also when import a world state in DA:I you need to make sure the time stamps match

In that case, I'd suggest that you and they use the Beta feedback function within the Keep to report this issue.

Just one thing to add along with these other posts, the name of their world state will never show up. As the poster above showed your friends need to look for the time stamp as the indicator whether your world state showed up. If it said 'default' then it sounds like they didn't load the correct world state, it would have asked whether you wanted to load a custom state.

If you're sure that your friends did every step correctly including the time stamp then you'll have to contact the devs directly via PM to report a bug.

First off, it sounds like those posting in this thread think they are having issues with the Keep when he is clearly discussing Inquisition itself.

What do you mean by their decisions were not reflected? I don't have EA access so I haven't seen the game. When you load a worldstate, does it walk through the choices? Or have characters made references to things that are not correct?

From your description it sounds like they loaded the Default worldstate, not their custom one.

OK, they used the keep, crafted their world state in it then exported it. When they started the game, they had to import the world state first before starting the game. They did this, (or at least, they imported the only world state available to them) then started the game. During it, they spoke to characters like Varric who divulged some of the history at it didn't match up to their choices they had made in the Keep. The question is simply 'why is there a discrepancy'? Is it a problem when saving and exporting from the keep? Is it a problem when importing? Is there something they've forgotten to do? So far they seem to have done everything the way they should have done.

Yes, we know, and have done all this.

I'm really not sure why people think I, or they, are don't realize we have to craft our own history in the keep, my 3rd sentence in my original post says that they loaded their custom world from the keep.

Also, I know what the grey/black bars mean, I was simply wondering out loud if neither changing or ratifying a decision made a difference or not.

If the worldstate said "default" when they loaded it into Inquisition, it sounds like they used the default Worldstate, not the one they made. See if they all get the same "wrong" details from Varric. I'd suggest trying to export the worldstate again and starting a new game to see if it's different.

Hi Grumftheld, we'll follow-up with you in a PM and see if we can help. Sorry for the trouble!

I had EA access and all my decisions seemed to have imported correctly.

Here are the two I noticed.

i recently go into Recliff and talked to connor, i guess i am one of the sorry saps thhat spent 30 hours just in the Hinterland not progreessing the main story

well 30 plus hours in i think i am getting some kind of keep import bug.

I am 100% positive i imported from the keep. Just to make sure i started a new game tonight, verified it matched the newly imported keep choices making sure Alistar is NOT King.

Blew through the hinterlands to make enough power to go to val royal then back to open up Recliff to talk to Connor

he did it again he said King Alisatar

what the heck is going on?

again i have verified the Keep import time and the keep choice is clearly Alistar is NOT King.

Conner conversation is bugged. He said King Alistair to me despite getting a codex about the HoF marrying Anora 20 feet away from him. If everything else in the game appears to reflect your world state, just ignore Conner as he apparently doesn't follow politics too closely. :P

glad to hear this Ranadiel, i have progressed VERY slowly through the main story and this was the first indication about my world state at all. I still can't even determine Hawkes gender yet.
