and all you did was develop a game exclusively for consoles and then turn that into something playable on pc. But that is not the only thing bothering me. The more I read and the more gameplay videos of DA:I I watch, the more depressed I become.

If I had already been a fan of the mass effect series a few years ago when ME3 came out, I would probably be experiencing a ridiculous feeling of deja-vú right now. You promised us that DA:I was going to be the "Dragon Age we always wanted to create". So, tell me...

...you never wanted Healing skills?

...you never wanted any advanced tactics?

...you never wanted a true tactical camera?

...you never wanted characters to be able to cast more than 8 spells?

...you never wanted players to be able to distribute their attribute points the way they want to?

Knowing this might start a shitstorm against me, I, as a PC player, and as a huge Dragon Age fan, feel betrayed. I feel betrayed by EA, who most certainly talked Bioware into assimilating DA to the mainstream; and I feel betrayed by Bioware. Because right now, all of this feels like you didnt try to create the "DA you always wanted", but instead the "DA that will earn the most money".

These past few days, I have watched loads of gameplay videos, and never before have I been crushed by disappointment so entirely and devastatingly. What I see is a Dragon Age that is trying to be the "next Action hit" in order to attract all the action-kiddies making up 70% of the video game market. Bioware, why have you simplified the game this much?

Is it really worth it, basically insulting the people who supported DA from the very first moment, by giving them something like this? I can understand why you removed the healing mechanics. I do not like it at all, to be honest, I hate it. But I can live with it and I can understand why you might have decided to remove it.

But what I can not understand is why you turned DA:I into such a mainstream-RPG. I know the clichés, PC players are arrogant and consider themselves to be something better than console players, but in my opinion, we simply deserve a version which deserves the name "Dragon Age". And to be honest, this game feels like a very good action RPG, but it most certainly does not feel like the Dragon Age that I fell in love with.

Yours,

a very sad and disappointed DA-fan.
