Didn't she also play the noble in DAA who ended up getting murdered and Lilley, the Coterie woman in DA2 who also ends up getting killed? That's at least three DA characters she's played who have bitten it.

She played a few characters in DA2, yeah. Coterie chick.. as well as Keran's sister. Among others.

But never any breakthrough characters. Glad to see she's got the spotlight this time.

Fans of AWR should listen to the Nerd Appropriate podcast she did. It's hilarious and will make you love her even more.

At the end she talks about projects she has coming up that ME fans might be interested but she can't talk about. Now we know she was the Inquisitor but had to sit on it.

If interested, here she is in an interview speaking in French about her role as Samantha Traynor. The translation is below the video

Wow I didn't know she spoke French. Thanks. Love her even more now. (I'm turning this into a bit of an AWR appreciation thread)

Given as we weren't given the option for better defined female voice actresses like Laura Bailey or Jennifer Hale, I suppose Sumalee Montano will have to get the job done.

She just comes across as slightly stronger and more self assured in her character acting that I'm familiar with from ME3 and from Saints Row 4, as compared to Alex Wilton Regan, who I am sure is quite good at what she does but doesn't fit my idea of what "I" would sound like in the given situation.

Overall it will come down to how the voice sounds with the face the character creator deigns to allow me to create. And regardless of all of that I'll still have horrible hair and will likely spend more time being concerned with that than I will with how the voice sounds.

Hundreds of talented hair mesh designers out there and none of them work at BioWare. Must be better money in staying independant I guess.

Without a doubt Alix Wilton Regan. That voice is just too amazing to be true

I'll have to listen to them in CC, I haven't gotten a good listen otherwise.

It's got more to do with deepness + tone for me than accent.

Totally agree on this. I liked her as Traynor and I think she is a great voice actress but to me she just doesn't sound right as the Inquisitor. She might have made a good female Hawke though!

I'm liking the British voice for the female Inquisitor. Still a little disappointed that I can't have a that Welsh accent for the Dalish, but I can work with this.  Miss Regan has a lovely voice.

I'm definitely going for Alix. As amazing as Sumalee sounds, Alix just fits what I had in mind for my first Inquisitor.

Apparently so is Gordon Hayward. Seriously, what does this mean?

I picked the american voice for my qunari because it sounds more blunt and forceful. And picked the british one for my elf because it sounds more peaceful and soft. Also british for my human because it fits more for a free marcher imo

I picked Alix and she absolutely killed it! She was perfect for my human. :D

I'm excited to see how different the other VA's will be, I'm sure they're all really good.

Used the British voice for my male Lavellan. The American voice is a bit too gruff/deep for a soft hearted, diplomatic apprentice mage.

I'm really digging Alix's voice for my female elf. She sounds perfect.

I haven't gotten past the prologue with a male character, so I'm not sure whether I like Jon or Harry's performance better. I really liked the Brit voice in the Cass romance vid though...

I was pleasantly surprised with the male american voice. It's much deeper than I thought it would be, though not quite as deep as I would like - I would have gone with Ron Perlman if I had my pick - but it definitely ended up working for my qunari.

The female american voice is less pleasing. Seems much flatter on a lot of lines.

I haven't tested the American Female Actress... but having played a bit of American Male and British Male and then AWR.... AWR seems to be the only one who sounds like she recorded her lines with the cast, even if it isn't the case because of how voice acting is done.
