How so? I explained how I thought it did, blood looks less blocky, textures looked higher res once they finally bothered to load (probably ties in with the blood looking less blocky too), hair looked less shiny than in the 360 version, lips aren't as shiny either (360 version had everyone looking like they had lip gloss on).

i think its because the xbox 360 player didnt show what it looked like when you pass the npcs at the point where Cassandra starts babbling about the divine. Man it looks really bad on ps3, the armor and clothes make everybody look like they are covered in mud. It probably looks even worse on 360 then.

Every time Leliana says "A Woman?" I laugh so hard.

Why?

I don't think either versions look bad for their platform. The PC's hairs look better on ps3. I'm Not sure about the blood, I saw the same blocky blood agains on Varric that he had on the 360 versions.

The disc drive of the 360 is faster than the one of the PS3, so it could be that texture loading in cutscenes as the one you mentioned is better on 360.

Looks pretty good for a PS3 game, but terrible in comparison to the PS4/XBONE/PC version.

I was going to say the same. I love my PS3, don't get me wrong but after seeing the next gen consoles and the PC... you see the stark difference in them.

There actually isn't that huge of a difference, so I dont see why some people are like "Omg thank christ I moved to new gen!".

The game still seems to run quite well on the PS3 and its amazing they managed to get it running on a rather old machine at a solid fps. Doesnt look that bad either, aside from the obvious pop in (which you get used to s a console player) and some texture load in issues.

Id also like to point out the people saying that they're viewing it in 60 frames on chrome..... firstly, the youtuber has to RECORD it in 60 frames and secondly the game doesnt RUN in 60 frames. So no matter what you do, you're not looking at a 60 frame video :P

In DA I+II you could turn off the blood in the menu. Perhaps that's an option if you don't like the textures. Looks still kind of ridiculous.

You can take it out on DAI as well, I think.

The biggest issue I've seen so far is the texture pop in. I can deal with some object fade/pop in, but texture loading needs to be improved. Hopefully installing it onto the console will help speed this up. Everything else looks several steps up from DA 2, which is all I really wanted.

It look good enough to hold me over until I do get a PS4 or XBone.

I think they should get a good pat on the back for squeezing those visuals out of the PS3, amazing work guys at BioWare!

The graphics look pretty similar to the 360 version, maybe just a teensy bit better, but not by much.

Y' know, I didn't realise the blue lo-res mess Cassandra and the Inquisitor fell onto was ice until I watched a PS4 version of the same scene. After seeing that and how shiny the hair was, it made me realise that getting the game for the family's X1 is probably better in the long run, even if it means playing in a room where my parents usually hang out. No biggie. I'll just kick 'em out during the romance scenes. :3
