For ME3, they said there'd be content whether someone was killed or not in a previous game, and it didn't really happen

I think there might have been one character that that actually applied to, but with everyone else, content related to a character only appeared if that character was still alive. The prerelease talk of encountering their associates or some sort of impact from the character's death never really materialized. I'm not saying I expected it for everyone, but at least half, just from the way they made it sound.

What about DA:I? Does killing someone in the tapestry have the effect of pressing the delete key on a portion of our campaign again?

I'm posting to the nonspoilers forum because I think we can talk about it without spoiling any details. :)

I'm afraid nobody here knows because the game hasn't been released yet. You'll probably know in a week or so if anybody can tear themselves away to post here, I certainly won't.

I doubt the campaign will radically change... just that X is king and not Y sort of thing.

Yeah. I was hoping someone who follows the game's news very closely would have read something, or maybe someone doing the 6-hour pre-play thing on Xbox would have found something.

That'll probably be over in the spoiler section of Scuttlebutt, I've been avoiding that section like the plague.

Anyone expecting a game to change radically due to a decision In prior games should know that, that's impossible and if anyone says it, they are lying.

Good day, sir.

The interesting thing is that you can attempt to kill both Morrigan and Leliana in Origins. I wonder what effects that will have.

There was content. It was just replacement character content. Wreav vs. Wrex, etc. Whatever you think about the execution, it was an investment of resources. It was just strangely done in a way that made it identical across versions.

Well that kind of thing is a spoiler. So go ask in the spoiler section

Don't go making a thread in here complaining though if you don't like the answer.

Revan017, I think what they're complaining about is that if someone died in a previous game, the ending of that arc is worse in ME3

New Rachni Queen

who betrays you.

Mordin stand-in

Who is unable to both make the cure and keep Eve alive.

New Krogan chief

Who is a lunatic that plans to invade the rest of the galaxy as soon as the Reapers are gone.

Legion stand-in

Who cannot resolve the Quarian-Geth conflict peacefully.

I personally like it better that way, because it incentivizes keeping your allies alive, but that seems to be their position.

Unsuccessful mission content is still content.  Though I think Padok Wiks, Mordin's stand, in can still both cure the genophage and keep Eve alive.

Also, Reeve stands in for Wrex and Captain Kirrahe stands in for Thane.
