Pre-loads are downloading!!!!!!

Just updated the previous thread on downloading the game. I'm on the PS3, and its 17 GB for the game. That's a big file. LOL

17 gigs is huge but a lot smaller than I was anticipating. I thought it'd be something in the high twenties. I freed up 44 just to be safe. 

 

Now we play the waiting game.

I wonder where that extra 5 gigs come from? Maybe high-end textures?

I did think the game would be larger. I checked and double checked to make sure I had the space on my console for it. I do.

Time to sit back and relax. Only a matter of time, DA:I.

It's 23 gigs for the pc and 50 gigs for the newer gen?

Another question, I pre-ordered the game like a SUCKER and where does the soundtrack go? I didn't see a download for that.

I preloaded yesterday and got a few hours in.

Maybe next-gen systems need double the space to download something, Otherwise I don't get it. I know there's something about different SKUs for the PC version so they don't have to download all the languages, making the download smaller, but then why such a huge discrepancy between the last gen and next gen downloads? Is it ALL graphics?

next-gen seems to force you to download the whole game to the system whether it is disc or not, so getting disc next-gen is really only for trade-in purposes. It does seem to be double the amount for PS4/XboxOne vs PS3/360, I think it is all graphics but not sure why. With these facts Playstation really needs external Harddrive support like XboxOne and bigger harddrive like XboxOne(Call of Duty Bundle)

I can't say. You may want to check your downloading queue, and it should give you a date for the download.

On the pc it's in the DAI folder in the bonus folder. But ur probably asking about console and idk on it.

Well the texture files are going to be a lot smaller for the 360/PS3.   That might account for some of the size difference.

ps4 said it was 44gb.

That sounds about right. Xbox One is ~41gb.
