i just started the game (since it got released in Europe just now, and the sword/armor is just in the room where you wake up, but y.. it's REALLY bad.. only 50 dmg over the starter weap :/ Wich i'd guess don't last me very long
Ya, this gear is anything but mighty. Does anyone know if we get the designs for this gear? Oh and what the deal is with the Reaper gear, and when u get that?
I managed to find better armor in a sack in Haven...right after I got the Flame armor. Nice.....

-Later on, when you get Skyhold, go to the crafting section. There will be a chest on the ground marked ''special deliveries''. It has the schematics for everything. They're all tier 2 (of 3) so they're not endgame items but they are better than what you can probably craft at the moment. Also, they're all limited to only the Inquisitor, which I found a bit dissapointng.

Schematic´s max level is 3? And there are max level of schematics for any weapon?

What happens if I activate the pre-order bonus a few hours after I kill the boss at the temple, restablished the inquisition, went to another area, remember that i had a preorder weapons pack, got the code, activated it in Origin, went back to Haven and I still couldnt open the black chest? Do I need to start a new character?

Generally speaking, you can get your items without starting a new character. However, there seems to be a bug that some players cannot open the chest in Haven to receive their weapons and armor (including myself), but are able to get the mounts and the MP chest

Thanks for your reply. It seems I will have to wait for a patch but by the time it will come out i will already own some legendaries. 
how many tiers are there? it seems that all of the weapons are tier 1.

I preordered the physical deluxe edition but it hasn't arrived yet. I also have a standard copy - if I start a playthrough tonight, can I just redeem my codes whenever mine finally arrives and then get the items in-game? Or does it have to be redeemed *before* you start a playthrough?
You can certainly redeem it later, once it arrives.
so i can get tier 2 only in skyhold?
what about the upgrades? any specific to the weapon?
okay i kinda need help. i havent had access to wifi before today so i couldent get my gear. i got to skyhold before i ever input my code. is there any way to pick up the stuff AT skyhold? if not i just got screwed out of the gear
*edit* OKAY nevermind! i found it! you can pick up your gear at any time in the skyhold forge!
