I've seen gameplay videos (no spoilers thank goodness!) and they are mindlessly broken.
Like literally they are the apex of no-counterplay and being gamebreaking. Anything below nightmare is trivialized.
Will Bioware release patches to nerf Knight Enchanter?

How could you possibly know that without ever having played the game?
There could be many explanations for what you saw. A skilled player might have made the kit look very powerful. The footage may have been on a lower difficulty. The recording may have featured a particularly well built character.
Asking for nerfs before a game has even come out is utterly pointless.

The more I see this stuff about Knight Enchanter, the more I want to play it.

Well... people did want a class like the Arcane Warrior, right?

I don't understand why people want to "nerf" overpowered characters. I always pick the most powerful class available to me (and I'll be playing on Casual). If you don't want to play OP because it makes the game difficult, up the difficulty or just choose a different class.

Why do people continue to demand nerfs for classes?
If there was competitive multiplayer in the game, maybe I'd understand... but it's a single player game with co-op multiplayer.
Stop crying about something being "OP" and play whatever class you want to play. Obviously they created the game with ANY class and ANY spec being able to complete it.
Jesus.

Isn't the difficulty level a nerf?

It would be wise to wait for the game's release before requesting nerfs, I feel.

Well don't that beat all?
From people complaining that mages are gimped to people complaining Knight Enchanters are invincible.
Maybe let's play the game and see how it goes first?
And where are these so-called spoiler free Knight Enchanter videos that prove your assertion?

Watching one gameplay video does not validate the request for a nerf. Gonna need a lot more comparisons and proof than that.

Maybe in multiplayer, but you are never going to see a nerf in single player. In fact, has that ever happened before? Has any devs ever nerfed a single player games content?

Yes. In fact, Bioware did a few times in DA2.

OP has spent far too many hours in WoW, it seems.

The only 'nerfs' that would be incoming would be to those abilities that aren't functioning like intended, like when the Arcane Warrior's massive fatigue wasn't working correctly at game launch.
Although hopefully BioWare will be more proactive with buffs to pathetic abilities a la Fire spells in DA2.

OP has mentioned that Knight Enchanters are severely broken in a few different threads now, but they've yet to share a link to these videos. ![]()

I rarely play the most powerful class of anything, especially in a SP game. I like to take a wimpier character and see if I can make it shine. I almost always play on the normal setting or hard if normal is too easy. I rarelly every use nightmare. I like a bit of challenge but reloading isn't a lot of fun for me unless there's an acheivement for it.

This wouldn't have anything to do with OP being butthurt about Necromancer being reduced to second best mage at all, would it?
