I'd also quite appreciate the irony if you end up not liking the game...

You are going to make yourself sick. Too much sleep is not healthy, as it can screw up your circadian rhythm and it isn't what doctors refer to as good "sleep hygiene."

Instead of sleeping away time, you need to balance it out with more activity. Your muscles need stimulation, and I'm not just referring to arms and legs. Your heart, brain, stomach, bowels - everything. You need to stand up, give it some motion, allow gravity to do its thing, etc.

And think of all the hours in which you've been asleep. Sleep can be very dehydrating. You aren't hydrating your body during all that time. No wonder you're getting headaches etc. You need to be up, moving, eating, and drinking water.

It's not a good idea. Try doing something active instead of sleeping when it isn't actually time to sleep.

The Original Batman TV series (from way back in 1966) just came out this week on video.

That's how I've been spending my downtime before release.

Heartily recommended!

Too much sleep actually can be very harmful, some studies have shown that it can lead to an early death as well as cardiac problems, among other things. You need to get your prioties straight. I am excited for this game just as much as the next guy, but I would not sacrifice my health for it.

If you think that sleeping this much and then staying up for 36 hours once you get the game is just a one way trip to the ER, don't kid yourself OP this is probably what your planing.

Honestly get out of the house, stay away from anything you can really rest on. If you need tech, go to starbucks with your tablet, labtop if you have one. Drink coffee if that will make you stay awake. Also if you're sleeping this much at the obsession of something it may be a sign of a more serious problem. Talk it out with someone, family.

Sounds like good advice if I can not fall asleep tonight ... particularly since I am uneasy wondering whether I can use S Korean VPN tomorrow and play at 9:00 AM instead of 11:00 PM.

Occasionally your body needs that extra rest, if you've been sick or working lots of OT. If it becomes a habit, that's not very healthy...

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady goes to bed at 8:30PM during the season...

But now its only 12 hours left. If I just sleep 12 hours now - one last time.... then I will be on the finish-line.

However every waking moment without DA:I is a living nightmare and torment.

Go get help.

It appears that hurling mental health insults is an acceptable form of discrimination?

No, it appears that obsessing over a video game because he doesn't possess it at the potential cost to personal health and well-being is a sign of poor personal functioning.

Or that he's being dramatic and that he doesn't have nightmares, and he's living and knowing that he doesn't possess a video game.

Telling a person who is having a problem to go get help is not an insult.

Serious though, how is it torment? Just play Origins or DA 2 if you need a DA fix that bad.

Its like 1 day away starting DAO or DA2 would be fruitless.

Nothing else to keep you occupied? No school or job, any hobby?

We're not cats, we're not supposed to sleep that much.

When it's this close I wish I could sleep like a cat, It's sad because i can only sleep 3-4 hours a night.

OP

I am waiting a few days longer than you till the new Pokemon game. GOML.

Srs though, like many said, do fun stuff to past the time. Be on these forums, talk about the game, go out and watch a movie, play the previous Dragon Age games to brush up on the mechanics, or you can do what I'm doing and just be here and Battlelog chilling.

Sounds like you need a little Civilization "One More Turn Syndrome."

You can lose entire weeks that way.

I've... heard from other people who've done it. smiley_innocent.gif
