hmm, what ahppened at gamestop Jawzzus, i wan't all the juicy details, besides, were just waiting for DAI anyways....   ;)

ALSO**** heres a theory about amazon shipping and other sites as well.

i feel like, in the past street dates weren't enforced like they are now, and so many places have been in trouble that it's made even shpping sites paranoid so they don't send out ASAP liek it seems they used to. i always remember people getting their games like 2-3 days early in the late aughts... now it seems like they are specifically holding games to be shipped at last min and they waited to long to get there by the street date./

think about it, even if amazon ships early, maybe UPS or fedex has space//time on a truck and just says "screw it, put it on for delivery", then amazon could get in trouble. im guessing there's too many ways for this process to be messed up, but with shipping ,they need to be a little more lax, its better that customers get their games early, so they can play on the days they took off for work, rather than miss street date and screw the persons timing up.

Seeing the issue with some people getting the 19th, they may end up sending most out using overnight. They may also be waiting to talk to UPS or Fedex in the morning, who knows. But they've guaranteed the 18th. No idea what happens if they miss the guarantee.

Sadly, nothing. You get a generic "We are terribly sorry" message and a $5 credit.

They deducted the balance from my account, but it hasn't shipped yet. I used to work at Amazon and I understand that it'll be about 8 or 9 AM EST before it actually is shipped. Don't worry, Amazon will provide....

Amazon just took my money! I take this as a good sign.

As far as I know, if you have Prime, your order should be in transit by this point.

Mine shipped about 15 hours ago and is currently somewhere in Kentucky (with UPS).

I would buy digitally if they'd add some physical security to it. If they sent me a cheap physical copy in case something happened to my PSN account, I'd be happy with it. That, or a discount. I don't get why it's still $60 when we've gone ahead and eliminated the possibility that we'll give the game disk to a friend or sell it. Game companies lose money from used game sales, let me see some kickback for preventing it.

I woke up and checked my email to see that my game and the guide have shipped. They already took the money out of my account, which is a relief as I have been needing to spend a bit on groceries and other essentials for the past few days.

Hopefully, that means that you all will see the update, soon.

I didn't preorder the game (I did at the local GS) but I preordered the CE Guide ($40 retail and Amazon has it for $24, couldn't pass it up). It is preparing for shipment since early this morning with estimated delivery by tomorrow 8pm (which I doubt...should have shipped by now if it where to be delivered by tomorrow).

I'd wait an extra day for $5! I have other things I should probably be doing.

Doesn't MS or Sony do 10% discounts when you preorder digitally? I thought I read it somewhere.

I sadly got to inpatient and just cancelled the order since I haven't been charged nor did it get shipped or any confirmation. So now I'm DL off Ps store and will be able to play it with friends. Which actually saved me 5$ due to shipping and handling. So that's 5$ more to my snack food fund for this game.

Why does it always have to be about "me, me me me"?

How about supporting the developer you respect giving them the full $60 and NOT trading yor game in so that they can make more money and in turn make MORE games. Does $5 here or there really make that huge of a difference?

Mine still hasn't updated then again I have the unique situation in that I changed my shipping only a few days ago so they could have pushed me back in line.

I hear prime users aren't under the same guarantee as those who picked normal two day shipping (now listed as one day shipping) You should call customer service.

Had my game as a digital from Origin, safer this way to me.

Ordered my DAI collector edition guide from Amazon, too. Got it with a Prime 2-day shipping, with an email last week saying the 18th is a guaranteed delivery date....but my book still hasn't ship yet. Just a single day away, and not even shipped....arrgh.

It's not unreasonable to expect some sort of incentive for losing access to the benefits of the physical copy.
