Hello everyone,
I hope this is the right forum. If not, I apologize.
So to give you a quick summary of my situation ; I'm French. I live in Russia. I want to play the game in English.
I bought it on Origins a couple of weeks ago. When the pre-load was enabled I was told I could install the game either in Polish or Russian. Um, thanks, not interested. I contacted Bioware support to ask how to fix this. They were very nice but they told me they couldn't help - Origins is region locked. Gee, great, now I'm stuck with a game I can't play (playing it in Russian would definitely ruin the experience, and I don't speak Polish).
Then I connected to the Dragon age Keep. I picked English on the main page but as soon as I logged in I was put on the French version of the website. Once again - not interested. Sorry, but the French translations are awful.
So my question is, why ? Why is it so hard to let me pick whatever language I like ? Steam does it, so obviously there is no legal or technical limitation that makes it impossible. Why would Bioware care whether I play the game in Russian, French, English or even Swahili ? This is absurd. I can't be the only one in this situation, right ?
If there's a reason for this, please share it with me because I don't understand. And if there's no reason then please fix it.
Thanks.
