I am one of those in the minority that pre ordered dragon age Inquisition solely for the multiplayer. The single player game will eventually interest me, but the idea of playing a dungeon crawl with friends is what caught my interest. After watching your multiplayer live stream demo, I was sold! I loved the way you developed the multiplayer to be about team strategy to beat a mission rather than a button mashing loot fest.

Because of the excitement generated from the live stream, I was one of the participants in the EA Access early trial of dragon age inquisition- I just had to play it for myself. First of all, thanks bioware for thinking outside the box and incorporating a trial before release. It is a very cool idea and the six hours went quickly! I spent all my six hours on multiplayer and so I thought you might want to hear some of my impressions and takeaways about the multiplayer demo- especially since it appears that players like me are your target audience for this game mode.

First, my overall impression was very good. I loved how easy it was to join a match with random people, play with friends, or even have people join once a map was started. I also loved how different each of the three starter classes felt to play. The were unique and well balanced. I liked the levelling skill trees and each choice seemed to significantly add to the depth of the characters. I even liked how heard the maps were- although I played for six hours I never was able to beat the stage 5 bosses! This left me wanting to play more and try new strategies to try and beat the level. I also enjoyed the time of each match lasting around 30 minutes, which felt sognificant but not like you had to block out an evening.

There were a few things that I would have liked to see changed- that I know would keep me playing longer once the game comes out.

1- Genders of classes being locked as well as no customization of appearance. To be honest, this one puzzled me. I think you were going for having characters that have personalities and background. Which I think is a cool idea- but in practice I didn't notice it working very well. To me the multiplayer, once in a match, played like an arcade game (which I really enjoyed). The only character development I noticed was some banter as you walked around. While the banter was interesting, it was no where as interesting as being able to choose what your multiplayer chargers look like. I hope you unlock the genders for each class, not only because it would at least give some more options on what the characters look like, but it would also allow for having two of each class at a time. This would allow people to start a secondary character to play with their low level friends, or use a different build since the only way to respec is to promote a character and start from scratch. I could see these issues being my biggest annoyance that would eventually help me move onto another game rather than keep playing inquisition multiplayer.

2- all of the following are probably due to only having a six hour limit, and I hope when full release happens I am to find more as I progress. I was disappointed that I only found one new piece of armor in all of my expeditions. But what disappointed me most was when I put the armor on, it didn't change my character look at all except switch some colors. While the new stat line was nice, it didn't feel like much of a reward. Instead of being excited about the new armor I felt kind of jipped. If not found later in the game I would really like to see some armor sets that change appearance. I would think this wouldn't be too difficult due I the fact the single player probably has loads of armor skins available to choose from.

3- More maps. I would love to see some more varying maps for multiplayer. The three are a good start, but more environments would greatly enhance replay value.

Thanks for reading the feedback. And thanks for making a game that has this type of multiplayer.

In one of BW's twitch streams, they mentioned that some of the other armors where only color changes, but some changed the appearance as well.

As Silver Said the Dev's in the twitch feed said that there were a few different colour options to the armour and it was possible to either find or unlock one or two other styles of armour and different colours for them to give them a little more change of look as you go on.

However the individual characters aren't going to ever have sex changing options.  But then again not all your warriors level together so the issue of having characters to level with your friends and characters you keep level becomes a bit more complicated at that point.  So part of your request here is mitigated by unlocking more characters.

Also if it's anything like ME3MP the free dlc's they are going to do are going to add more characters, more maps, possibly more equipment, and if we're lucky maybe even a new set of enemies or two at some point.
