1. I have no admiration for the character, she is a poorly written contrived character who is not even all that likeable, this is why she isn't a mary sue. Besides her treatment in DAI is also clearly not that of a Mary Sue with the impact of her decisions coming back to bite her.

2. At the conclave where the vote was made it was a majority vote, Rhys as representative of his faction had the deciding vote.

3. At the first meeting of the conclave Justinia was still in charge and it was not clear how the templars would react.

4. Later when the vote was taken if the mages at the conclave handed themselves in to Lambert it was crystal clear that large numbers would be killed or made tranquil, so there was essentially no choice.

1. Agree to Disagree
2. I said clear majority and no it wasn't, thats why the circle was split in half something made very clear in our first conversation with Vivienne
3. If she didn't know thats how the Templars would reach then she is an idiot and should not be first enchanter, it was extremely obvious thats how they would react.
4. Wrong, As seen by Viviennes following of "Loyal Mages"

Well siding with the templars give syou a timed mission -_-

Now I'm wishing I'd gone with the mages. Screw timed missions.

Vivienne would definitely exaggerate her position. She's scheming, subtle and power hungry. I'd trust her word on mages as much as Varric's while telling a tale about Hawke.

1. With her treatment in DAI any issue with her being a mary sue has gone.

2. A majority of the mage factions voted for independence. There was 1 vote in it and there may have been large numbers who disagreed but they still weren't the majority.

3. Justinia was still in charge though.

4. It can't be wrong it was how the scene was portrayed directly in the book. If Viv said otherwise then like someone else said why should she be trusted?

2. A clear majority is 2/3rds of the vote, she didn't have that
3. You clearly don't know how politics works
4. Fiona confirms her faction of loyal mages existance as well

Not a problem at all, if she is the only reason you won't side with mages here is your solution:

I consider this a minor spoiler. But if you are sensitive to spoilers you might consider it a medium spoiler +
