Oh I cant wait to kill that scumbag elf-sue.

although I liked your comment, I disagree with the "killing" part.  Quite excessive response. lol.  I don't know what it is with BSN and killing people you dislike.  I shudder to met you IRL, I am afraid you may want to kill me if you dislike me.

I do dislike Fiona.  She is pretty uptight and narrow minded, revealing intense emotions at certain times.  I cannot trust a personality like that IRL.

I do think the idea of Fiona's taint being removed could work, if it was given some actual thought rather then "Hmmmm.... let's put this in without ever explaining why" (as was done)

I have my own ideas for how that came about. I like the idea, just not the implementation of it.

And really, that's how it is a lot of the time with Bioware. I like the ideas, but their implementation sucks ass because I question how much thought is put into it.

-_-

You seriously think someone wanting to kill pixels (the one way of insuring they won't appear in the game ever again for the most part) is equal to someone having homicidal tendencies in real life?

Really?

Please tell me that is sarcasm.

The only thing about Fiona that annoys me is that a half-elf Alistair can be set up on the throne, but he can't marry an elf because elves bad. Oh, but nobody knows because plot armor. Retcon much? I would have liked to be a fly on the wall when that was decided.

Can I kill both Fiona and Lord Seeker Lambert then put Rhys or someone who's willing to compromise on both sides then have their support for the Inquisition? No? *sigh*

It's literally this. Characters (especially female characters) aren't allowed to have any sort of power because that makes them a Mary Sue.

Nope, but keep thinking that, it's adorable.

If I believed people would kill me if they disliked me IRL, I would need some serious medication and possibly hospitalization for mental health.  ;)

Yeah curing her taint because reasons, A+ writing right there.

Curing her of the taint is surely meant to be one of those mysteries surrounding the exact nature of the darkspawn and the taint, not just because. They arguably put too much into the character after that, but I guess they probably felt that they wanted a character in that position that had something of a connection to the rest of the story. Besides no-one is saying that its great writing, The Calling is clearly the worst of the DA novels.

A lot of the stuff around the taint, the fade, lyrium, demons, darkspawn etc is presented in a similar way.

This makes me wonder if she will meet Warden Alistair, too. I've been struggling which fate to choose for him for my first playthrough's World State, and was pretty sure on Warden, but if she only meets King Alistair (or if King Alistair's role is a good deal more significant), I may reconsider.

I was wondering this too.  It would be too bad if they don't reunite (for any particular reason) if Alistair isn't King.

Nope don't do it. The sue powers will activate and she'll reverse it somehow.

Like I said. Chop off head, burn body, ashes to four corners of Thedas. Only way to be sure.

Only until it got reversed. Then she'd rise more powerful than before for reasons. Plus you'd just give her extra woobie points. (like she needs anymore)

Best to end it quick and clean.

Maybe they plan to have a logical explaination in a DAI DLC storyline. After all seems the books been building up to events in DAI so it would not surprise me if a future DLC will go over discovering more lore about the taint, dark spawn, and why Fiona manage to remove her taint (If she lived through in your play through)

Yup, exactly. One can draw correlations between a bunch of things and thus theories can be presented.

My issue is that I think Bioware doesn't realize this. Or if they do, go with trite nonsense.
