I'd think that given how "oppressive" the templars are they'd at least check a mage who just arrived for scarring
Remember she was a Grey Warden. The scars can easily be passed off as battle scars.
Not that I think that she is a blood mage. I just laughed when you said a blood mage wouldn't be within 100 yards of a Circle. ![]()
I never liked Fiona for 2 reasons:
1. She's part of Gaider's "The Calling", a mess of a novel where every character is a whining weeper.
2. She acts like a militant lunatic in "Asunder", calling for war.
These are her only appearances so far so I can't think of much to recommend her. Maybe I have a bias against cardboard characters written by Gaider.

self inflicted injuries aren't easily mistaken for anything else, I know this because of reasons

Boo. Would've been more fun the other way ![]()
He dislikes her as well
Fair enough, but what about the more recent books like Asunder?
Like I said before Asunder was where they decided to make her grand enchanter onto her because they probably wanted a character in that position with a connection to the previous games and characters. Not necessarily good writing to put so much on to 1 character I admit. I still don't think she's a mary sue.

Who does?

Thats Adrian not Fiona.

Its been a long time since I read The Calling but didn't Fiona's cure come from what The Architect did to her not from anything she did.

And that was a bad idea, they should have used a new character for it instead adding on more to Fiona's resume.
When you've already got a rags to riches story, defending the helpless, romance with a monarch, leading the oppressed, leading a rebellion, and is the mother to a very important character, and then she starts ignoring lore, then we are in firm Mary Sue territory
Thats Adrian not Fiona.
Adrian is worse but Fiona is the official leader of the "let's fight" camp. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she endorsed Adrian's plan to murder that ex-Tranquil dude.
Can't wait to meet Fiona.

Given what happened in Kirkwall and given the mages situation, opting for self governance is hardly lunacy. And no the book in no way implies Fiona and Adrian are working together.

That's the second time you've misread my post or misinterpreted its meaning. I said I wouldn't be surprised if she was with Adrian, I didn't say the book implied they were allies. She opted for battle and blood (not self-governance) and got what she wanted because of what Adrian did. It's logical.
Alistair makes his mom cry
Fiona willingly goes to Tevinter before the Summit? Really? She let all the higher ups die so she could go ****** to the people who enslaved her quite literally, because she needs freedom? I swear to god, BioWare, if I don't get a chance to at least throw her into the Korcari Wilds.
@above: Link?

He did the right thing...seriously just look at what his mother and her follower brought to Ferelden. I don't have a problem with the Mages at all, but Fiona and Adrian deserve to be burn at stake.
good on Alistair

Alexius comes to offer Tevinter's support after the summit. Fiona had no choice in the matter. You learn this in the dialogue scene.

Could you unpack this? What did she do? Did she go to Tevinter? Why?

I don't have the stream but it was posted in a spoiler group.

Mage-Templar War sh*tstorm that ravage Ferelden.

She has no choice? Are you serious? She says she took a deal, so obviously she had a choice. The fact that it's after the Summit makes it even dumber. Thanks for clarifying though.

I'm not sure if before or after the Summit, but yes - she and her group already allied themselves with Tevinter, when we meet her in Redcliffe.
