Inquisition arrives in 2 days now and I need to know if it is time to move on....that is concerning my warden being synced to the keep. I really thought(and heard) they were going to fix it but maybe keep came out too late? i dont know. I have those rare complications that follow which ultimately equal no warden----1. no recognization by BSN(tried all of the troubleshooting)--2. Played via xbox so not alot of tinkering I can do unlike pc ---and 3. Even after an hour replicating my warden via character creator still

 

Yes I know the whole it doesnt affect inquistion at all (which actually made me feel even more sad) but it irks me to have played all those hours putting so much time in decision making and customization and not have that miniscule amount of actual direct connection between those cherished games. Im sure that I will still enjoy inquisition but i need to know if everyone else feels that there wont be a fix by the 18th.

 

btw shout out to all the community, who i believe gave more hope and help than the devs did themselves

Trust me, if there's anyone who's trying harder than anyone else it's the developers. They are faced with the task of trying to optimize the Keep's experience for everyone and some people are going to have a unique situation that will put what they can do to the test. Unfortunately because some people have rather complicated situations not everyone will be able to get their Warden/Hawkes on time.

I find it puzzling that your wardens made using the free CC hasn't showed, you did hit the upload button? (I made this mistake)

It's true that there will be very little difference between a default hero and custom hero and even DA:I won't acknowledge the little details except the ability to remake hawke in DA:I (which requires setting hawke's gender you want and exporting a custom world state)

Also the developers are very responsive, try PMing Renata directly.

Your decisions are still "imported". The only difference is that you have to manually input them into the Keep vs the save importer doing behind the scenes. I don't see how that invalidates your Origins and DA:2 playthroughs or makes them worthless. Yes, you lose your character customization and that's not ideal, but is that really a major issue?

 

Plus, as I always say when I hear this, Origins was a fantastic game on it's own and hardly a waste.

yep I tried all that but now it seems i can go into a little more detail if it even helps, from my original xbox playthroughs i actually was able to sync my more recent warden i made just to screw around (still made him awhile back) but nothing from my first warden. After my attempted upload from character creator I did notice in the begining of keep when it says PROCEED it said xbox:1 Playstion: none and PC went up to 2 when it used to be one so i got excited that CC worked but it didnt. And yea i may be misinformed of the work the devs are doing i just said what it seemed like to me.

and no i didnt say they were worthless believe me i read the other forum posts, but i was just giving some backstory of how im weird with those things i guess and wanted the portraits to be in keep.

Are you sure you were logged into your Origin's account while playing that first Warden? And that warden is recorded in BSN?

Did you use the CC today for the first time?

When I did go back to do that equipment change thing I checked around but never saw the option to sign in or out I assumed I was, why would it have changed since i playe my second warden? but yea I dont know how to sign in then, and if you mean was my screw around warden recorded by BSN, I honestly dont know because as of now not even he is recorded, but i did delete him from my xbox trying to do some self diagnostics before I even knew what BSN was or ever checked it. Lastly I did use first CC today as my last resort.

When you first load into DA:O it should say "signing into dragon age servers" at some point. It will either mention that you need to log in or it won't do anything (meaning you're connected). Another way to tell your not logged in is if the yellow Y button in the bottom left corner shows up once your in the main menu.

 

Checking the BSN website now will give you that answer to whether your screw around or original warden is there.

 

If you used the CC for the first time today it sometimes takes people several hours before their Warden's show up in the Keep so give it time?

so i booted up origins again and now it says EA servers are no longer available and now i remember its been like that for a looong time. so i do not know why that stupid warden i made can make it into the keep probably has something to do with the time period i played him. For the CC well i will wait longer i just see people post it should take 30 mins to upload to keep.

I've been unable to get any of my Wardens recognized by the Keep as well, but it does bring in my Hawkes, but the more I think about it, the more I'm OK with it. Why is that, you might ask?  Simple, Hawke made an (albeit brief) appearance in The Enemy of Thedas trailer.  I infer from this that Hawke is in Inquisition, and as such the Keep needs to know what we want our Hawke to look like.  I've not seen anything indicating the Warden making such an on-screen appearance, hence they don't need his/her image, just demographics.  I'm sure the Warden will at least be mentioned, especially in my current world state where the Warden is Queen of Ferelden

 

But my conclusion is pure speculation of course.

DAO on the xbox loves to give that message about the EA servers...  I had the same issue when I first got into the Keep, and I still do have the issue occasionally...  Persistence seems to be the only way to finally get the connection, through.  Restarting the game(quitting to dashboard and trying again), or sometimes resetting the console itself, is enough to finally get that connection to go through.  I have noticed, though, that if it fails to connect on startup, no amount of retrying in the same session will help...

that was enough to secure a deluxe edition pre order from me its just that i want my warden in the keep or it will peeve me

Well I did manage to get on the servers and I went on my first wardens post-game save changed armor saved and played for 15 minutes so now only time will tell

Question. Are you able to see the profile diagnostics on your BSN because I can now, and if you are able to, are your Xbox Wardens there?

I was never able to and i still cant all i get is invalid game/persona

I think your Gamertag might not be linked to your BSN account maybe you have to register your copy if you haven't already? The only thing I can think left that you can do is that make sure that your Gamertag is linked to your EA Origin account through the PC client then contact Renata or Leah on here if that don't work. I can't think of anything else Warrior, sorry

In the Keep, try going in the menu in the upper left and clicking "Replay Startup" and see if it ends up syncing anything new.

My warden from xbox managed to 'partially' syned to the keep. Her icon somehow never shows up in the keep. So I used the CC kit to recreate her and my warden came to the keep a few hours later.

I recreated my Warden using the CC and pressed Upload, but she never appeared in the Keep. But I was under the impression that the upload only consists of a name and portrait, so I'm not too fussed about it.

nah all that has to be linked and registered because how else did i get my stupid warden, I just dont understand why I cant get my other warden. If i do need to register do you know a way I could without having the case (washed away in Sandy). Still no luck with syncing CC either and i have one day left
