Since Interstellar has been released I've been watching other space exploration films. Obviously ones like rewatching 2001 and Europa Report but started to watch HBO’s mini series from 1998 From Earth to the Moon (highly recommend it). Recounting the formation or the Apollo program.

I don't know many details about the next Mass Effect but I heard (correct me if I'm wrong) there will be an emphasis on exploration which I'm very very excited about. One thing I love about the FtEttM series is the episode focusing on the design of the Lunar Module and the overall struggle, planning and trials NASA went through. A suggestion would to incorporate this feeling of building, creating and designing something.

Mass Effect 2 lightly touches these ideas while you're upgrading your Normandy and the exploration/pioneering aspect of going through the Omega 4 relay. The same occurred in Mass Effect 3 with the Crucible but maybe instead of a weapon could it be something else.
