I hate the whole get more damage at the cost of my health kick. But do you think it feasible to be a two-hander without spec'ing Reaver? and if yes how so?
Will be possible to be a two-hander without spec'ing Reaver?

Probably. I've seen streams where Whirlwind does work. You can always spec Templar. Blessed Hands provides a damage buff and you can use Wrath of Heaven to do an AoE stun which you can detonate with Whirlwind. I don't think the spec will be as damaging as Reaver but it will be decent.

I plan on playing a two-handed on my first playthrough and speccing as either a Templar or a Champion, not a Reaver. Soooo.... yes?
I mean. They give you three specs to choose from for a reason..

Why not? Templar is going to give demons a bad time, and with the plethora of Rifts you're going to spend some time fighting those. Champion offers the least DPS, but the main two-hander tree probably provides a good chunk already, and Champions are damn near unkillable so that means all the more time the warrior can swing his weapon and not run around avoiding attacks that would kill lesser specs.

yes. you'll be less dps for more tanking/defensive power. in less you feel you "have" to do the most dmg possible there is not and has never be any requirement to pair these two specs.

Yes. It's just part of the general warrior tree, like the other games.

Champion + 2H could possibly be broken depending on how high you can stack crit and if Flow of Battle effects Walking Fortress, Unyielding, and the Guard generating skills in Vanguard.
You obviously won't be doing the same damage of Reaver though.

I wish I knew more details of the higher skills. I've only played a little. I know that the first skill you get is tanking based (a taunt), so it's not like tanks all have to be shield warriors or anything. And 2handers have to be pure DPS. Just like the other games, more or less.

Of course. Specializations add to a character's capabilities, but they don't define them in their entirety.
Consider a Champion wielding a Greatsword. Line in the Sand will make easy targets for Whirlwind and Mighty Blow. Walking Fortress is handy for when you're hurting from lack of a shield. Passives are nice for everybody, probably. To the Death can also contribute to damage.

Champion with 2h sword is basically Tryndamere from League of LEgends.
And he is broken overpowered.

I'll be trying 2hander with champion spec. Don't really like reaver and prefer playing 2h over s&s Warrior. I think it'll be a good mix anyway, will tank it up with champion abilities if I need or just deal damage with 2h abilities.

Nope, two handed weapons are connected to Reavers only... ok I am being a jerk. I would think as most have already said that you can use any weapons group with any warrior build it would be up to the player to work their style to fit the class and weapons choices.

Be a champion marshmallow! Sure you won't be a TRUE champion without a shield but you'll be okay.
True Champions dion't need a shield. We stand and let blows bounce off our 2 handed AWESOMENESS
