Origin just prompted me to update ME3 and downloaded a ~20MB patch. Does anyone know what this is about? It's kind of weird to get anything official since there is no support anymore.

Please tell me if it fixes the Origin-in-Game-VERSUS-Alt-Tab bug, I'd really like it to work again.

Yup seriously miss being able to alt tab.  Doing my ****** in.

You can't alt-tab? I never had a problem with that at all... but I don't use Origin-in-game.

 

Edit: Oh damn, alt-tab really doesn't work. What kind of crap is that?! On the bright side, the ingame store works with origin-in-game now. But I still get disconnected from the server every other minute, so I still can't use it. No disconnects whatsoever when origin-in-game is disabled.

it's just a reasonable guess - so don't expect nothing.

 

You can't alt-tab? I never had a problem with that at all... but I don't use Origin-in-game.

Good when pugging and recording - for teaming up not.

So far I saw no changes but the ingame store working properly with origin-in-game and that was always a rather unique problem I had.

No update alert for me. The OIG Alt-Tab bug was there from the start and all those Origin updates just fixed and restored it in turn, EA pls.

Just play in Borderless Window and Alt+Tab all day.

No updates here to ME3 or Origin. I've been able to alt-tab for ages though because I run ME3 in a borderless window. No performance hit, and I can do screenshots and recordings with whatever I want. Origin friend chat pop-ups mid-game are a problem though.

Sure it might work. Clumsy inconvenient workarounds are still no substitute for things working as designed.

Being faster than FTL allows him to preview your post and post his own before you can do anything.

Not for me. It's still either Origin in Game or Alt-Tab working.

I've never had a problem with Alt-tab, but I always keep a Browser or Explorer window open to tab to. (Some other games prevent tabbing out, when there is just the desktop to display)

 

About that ~20MB patch. Origin is sneaky and says 'patch' when it overwrites the ME3.exe (about that size).

So if you had console enabled via hax hex -editing, it is now gone... (also, sometimes Origin overwrites the blink32.dll in the same 'update', when you went this route)

 

Edit: Even if you have and unmodified .exe, Origin likes to replace that file with itself if when the coalseced.win is modified

(At least it does that on my install. Don't ask me why, I don't understand it either.)

Btw... I've got the N7 Collector's Edition, does that matter for anything?

If you're modding the game (in any way) it could be trying to repair it.

You can turn it off in the settings of origin.

Now you have to play the whole entire singleplayer to see if Bioware have added a Portal-style hint at the end! (Wishful thinking, I know...)
