Empress Celene expanded her sexuality and found a replacement for Briala. She must have also killed Bodahn because of that since that is the tradition with Celene.

In all fairness from a biological perspective if you didn't have that toe you'd spend a lot of time falling over while you tried to walk. Its kind of startling how critical they are to maintaining proper balance while ambulating. I've had to deal with some patients with toe amputations over the years and the physical therapy to get them walking unaided again can be quite challenging.

LOL! Well, sandal did not blow up when he worked on red lyrium in DA2. The explosion only happens to poor salamanders and Bohdan's house.

I dont want Dagna making my enchantments, DA enchantments must be done by Sandal. Period!

 

Sandal and Bohdan are like R2D2 and C3PO, they have to be in every game of Dragon Age series! They better make a full DLC about Sandal, or even an expansion. I feel cheated for not seeing them in the game and not get to know more about what the freaking hell is Sandal

I was actually really hoping to see Bodahn with Sandal in Val Royeaux or the Orlesian Court somewhere. After all, they went to Orlais because Bodahn wanted to secure Sandal's future! And... oh no.... the ball.....

Oh my god I'm a monster, I totally undid whatever agreement Bodahn had with Clene didn't I when I put Briala in power? Though Sandal's enchanting skills are surely enough to keep him in the Orlesian court no matter who is in charge? D: I CAN'T LIVE WITH MYSELF IF THIS ISN'T TRUE.

So I've only just gotten past the Winter Palace, myself. But I've not yet *met* either Bohdan or Sandal in the game. From what I understand from my other half (she has completed the game) they do not appear.

 

To which I said to her, but I've SEEN Sandal!!!

 

She thought I was having her on, so I showed her the video I nabbed (I'm playing on Xbox One).

 

It would appear that it is only an easter egg, but if you ever went to Therinfal Redoubt to see what was messing up the Templars (Which cuts off all option of siding with the Mages in the first act of the game) you will see him.

I'm guessing that because siding with The Templars was exceptionally buggy on PC less people went down this route.

I like to think of Sandal hanging out in a room behind a green door, along with Deekin Scalesinger and Boo the Space Hamster.  All three of them, full on donuts, sipping coffee, smoking a pipe, and generally chilling in preparation for the day all three come out in a moment of awesome to replace the MainChar's party before the Boss Fight.

No, like I said above. You do get to see Sandal. But it is during a Fade Dream sequence. Nothing more.

Assuming we're still on the 5 Game Plan, give Sandal a bit of a break. All the more exciting it will be to see him if he doesn't appear in every single game.

Dagna actually makes mention of him.   Not by name, but she says there is one better than her out there in the world but shes a better conversationalist.    I assumed he would be your arcanist if you didn't help dagna in DA:O.     I have yet to have a world state for that yet, but ...  maybe.

Yeah I felt that having Sandal and Bodahn missing from the game seem odd. I was really looking forward to seeing  Sandal. Dagna just doesn't seem to do enchantment like Sandal.

 

It just feels that Bodahn and Sandal have become the mascots of Dragon Age.

 

If they do plan to bring Sandal back in dlc than I will be happy. Enchantment!

I tried to make Inquisitor Sandal. If only I could make it so that anytime the Inquisitor talks it plays one of Sandal's lines from DA2 instead...
