Enough. Where is he? Where is Sandal?

I wonder if Sandal is an old god like Solas and Flemmeth?

"Not enchantment."

This is what I've been thinking too, assuming Solas trapped the gods underground. Some gods might have corrupted and turned into archdemons but maybe Sandal went against that entirely.

I tried to make Inquisitor Sandal. If only I could make it so that anytime the Inquisitor talks it plays one of Sandal's lines from DA2 instead...

Holy ****, this Inquisitor looks exactly like him! I wondered how he would look like in DA:I. Here's my answer. Thanks!

For some  reason I believed that Bodahn had died. Did I just dream that or was there support for it somewhere? I distinctly remember feeling sad about it.

I'm not going to subscrube that Sandal is the Maker theory.

I will subscribe to that he is like Flemeth - a Dwarf who was left in the darkness of the Deep Roads ("That Aeducan boy who got lost a while back whose mother was a human or an elf" per Legacy DLC) and a spirit came to save him. I'm going to assume it's June - God of the Craft. Seen here with an Anvil - a common symbol in Dwarven culture.

The...slowness....might be of the interspecies mix...or could it be of something else?

Solas stated when referring to the death of his spirit friend that they could always come back if they leave a mark and memory strong enough. Though it may not be THEM. I'm likening this to a flower. The flower dies but what was once there might eventually grow back as something new.

So I propose this: I do subscribe that the Elven Pantheon and the Old Gods are one in the same. And June was one that has already risen as an Archdemon. A new spirit grew and took Sandal as a host. Because the spirit is so...young. We have Sandal with the mind of a child.

That or Sandal is an OGB...but considering the Carta members mention him as if it was recent that the boy went missing, I'm not banking on that one.

Probably in the room before the final boss, with a lot of corpses around him

That was actually a game mechanic so that it allowed us to restock up on potions and all that. A game mechanic that made Sandal a very interesting personality in the end :P

I would have preferred Sandal to Dagna.

I was actually disappointed that it was Dagna who showed up at Skyhold instead of Sandal.

Don't get me wrong, I think Dagna is adorable..in her own way and more so than she was in Origins. But when the operation first became available on the War Table, I admittedly hoped it was going to be Sandal coming to take up residence, considering the way the mission needed to be done.

IMO if you didn't help Dagna get to the circle tower then you should get Sandal :D/.

While I greatly prefer Dagna over Sandal, I admit that I'd support this.

I am the great and mighty Inquisitor. The woman who is practically putting Southern Thedas back together single-handedly. Why can't I have both? :l

It's not like there's any shortage of soldiers that could use enchantment when I don't.

I dunno if Harrit can handle the Enchantgasm that would happen in the undercroft

Then we shall build a second undercroft!

Seriously though, there's plenty of space in Skyhold. If we had arcanists working for everyone in the Inquisition (or at least the most prominent people) the blacksmith and the arcanists would need different rooms to store supplies and works in progress and keep them from tripping over each other.

Both is good too! Dagna can interpret Sandal's ''enchantment'' rambling the way Bohdan did.

I'm glad we got Dagna instead, the whole "Sandal always works for the protagonist" thing was getting a bit gimmicky.

The soul of the Dragon Age.

Sandal was funny in the first game, possibly half-unintentionally.  Then they added him to the second game as an attempt to cash in on that joke, and it was barely funny at all.

In 2 Bodahn talks about getting old and needing to make arrangements for sandals future

Sandal is referenced in the hard in hightown war table missions.

He might cameo in DLC.

That's all we're gonna get i think.

Sandal was lame in DA2. A simpleton who spouts off weird stuff that may or may not pay off. He was cool in DA:O but they milked it in DA2 and it was obvious.

I'm very glad we got Dagna instead. She's awesome.

Dear Mr Mike Laidlaw,

Would it be possible to get a DLC in DAI in which we find out the origins of sandal, perhaps what he has in common with the ancient lyrium dwarves? Perhaps allowing us into the deep roads or Orzammar?

Thank You.

A fan

PS. Would It be possible in another game to experience Andraste with a parallel story of Maferath?

I also believe that Sandal could be and/or have a soul of a god.

Perhaps June? It would explain howhe's so good at crafting/enchantments. Either way, he's interesting enough for Flemeth to visit him at night

The glaring absence of Sandal & Bodahn from Inquisition still really bums me out.

The devs must think that they are cleverer than they actually are, and that fans who had previously played these games before just wouldn't notice these franchise favorites not being included. You know, as they were specifically indicated to be at the conclusion of DA2?

Plenty of space remains at Skyhold to put a couple of extra dwarven guest up in their own room.

I'd like to see Sandal and Bodahn in the next game or DLC for Inquisition.
