Bug found during trial period. I changed character to perform a task and the up/down arrows to switch back stopped working. Also trying to use other methods to switch characters failed. (Arrow buttons also didn't work in the inventory/character sheet window). I completed that quest I was that required the character I switched to but still couldn't change characters after that.
I solved it by shutting down the XB1 for force it to close DA:I and started the game up again and the character switch was working again.
