I rotate everyone out for funsies, but my serious need to get stuff done party is Tempest, Blackwall, Cassandra, and Solas.

So, I play slow. Really slow. I'm still flailing around Skyhold and I've been looking for the war room for literally 4 hours. I sh!t you not.
But I did stumble across an old friend on the battlements...

Maker's Breath! Beldin's hot.
And that totally looks like he had that pic professionally done.
(also your Adaar is hot. Wow)

Oh! And my group-Like Hannah, I change out a lot, for different reasons, but Amythiel Lavellan is very fond of Blackwall as her tank, Solas as her mage and then usually Cole, because I like listening to him and Solas talk. ![]()
Blackwall doesn't seem to like Cole as much, and I love Bull, but Solas DOES NOT.

See, now...
I still can't find the War Room, by the way. Can somebody help me out?
Yaay, it's 10:35, and I finally found the effing thing. I get it. the place is big. But I shouldn't have spent 5 out of my total 35 playing hours so far looking for one stupid room.

Go into Josephine's office (you can find it using her icon) and through the door on the other side. There's a little corridor where the wall is a little broken. The war room door is at the end of the corridor. Hope that helps! I think that's the easiest way to find it.

It didn't help when Cullen moved into his office and I couldn't find him anymore.

Beldin is hot! Beldin for LI!
Anyway, I've also arrived in Skyhold, and I soooo laughed out loud with Leliana's 'If it is who I think it is, Cassandra is sooo going to kill him'. So yup, I met that one too ![]()
And I'm totally in love with the characters and the main storyline so far. That whole cutscene line from Haven up to getting settled in Skyhold... all the feels! ![]()
My little girl is totally trying to romance Cullen (I actually swooned at the 'Not in Kirkwall'-line he has. Omg, Greg Ellis, you can do a sexy voice!), but also can't help flirting around with Dorian whenever the opportunity shows up. Dorian is just too awesome
And I agree that Skyhold is just too effing huge and it doesn't help that people keep hiding... I also thought it was a bit annoying that you get in random places after getting a cutscene with the companions XD 'ok, where the hell am I?' Took me 15 minutes to find the exit of her quarters, so I know your feeling about the warroom, Ruth (luckily I stumbled upon that one by accident).
And I am making up my mind whether I should already make a Barthaquisitor, or first finish this playthrough... Any ideas on who she should romance, by the way?

Aw, make a BarthaQuisitor! You can always decide later if you'll play her or not. ![]()
As for romance-SO MANY OPTIONS.
If I play Tess, I really think she won't romance anyone. Unless I want to do the Cullen romance again.
Or maybe Blackwall. Depends.
As for Cullen- (romance spoilers below)

I've been playing for 13 hours so far (it took me three days to download the damn thing, stupid auto-restarts for my laptop kept interrupting the DL while I was at work or sleeping...grrrr). I'm still in the Hinterlands with my elven mage but I may go back to the initial archer since I'm *only* thirteen hours in at this point. I haven't met any additional companions so far so my party is still Cassandra, Varric and Solas.
I'm trying to be super thorough on play through...I have learned as a mage that it is really fun to stand on a cliff and immolate things from above, like level 12 dragonlings (at level 6)...Wheeeee!
I'll be spending this upcoming holiday weekend playing so hopefully I'll find the rest of the party members and get romantic with someone.
Pic will come later when I figure out screenshots. LOL

Anyone know how to take a screenshot from the game on PS3, by chance?
I'm enjoying everybody's romance thoughts. ![]()
Who to romance with Tempest!Inquisitor was kind of a no-brainer. Obviously this version is somewhat different because of different experiences and origin story, but Tempest's type in any universe is caring, responsible, kind, compassionate, not afraid of commitment, and makes her feel very very safe. So of course Cullen caught her eye right away.

I've discovered an easier way than winding myself down endless staircases at Skyhold. You can't die there, so I just jump. I feel sorry for the poor surgeon who keeps having the Inquisitor launch herself into the courtyard, but I imagine her saying, "You kinda get used to that, after a while."

Lol, great find! It took me hours to discover the front door of the main hall, so I just kept running around via the library to get there ><
And to come back to your earlier question, as I noticed I forgot to add it: I keep switching around with companions, as there are too many awesome ones XD Only Viv and Sera don't get too much attention... disapprove all the things! *sigh* Well ok, Viv is not too bad, but Sera is getting a bit on my nerves. Still love the character though.
When things get serious, I tend to bring either Blackwal/Cass, Dorian/Solas and Varric/Iron Bull... I simply love both Dorian and Solas, so sometimes I bring both of them instead of Varric/Bull. Seriously, I sooooo got to roll a male character to romance Dorian sometime. Still think he's actually bi though... just in denial
I mean, come on: 'I like watching you leave' *wriggles eyebrows* . Solas is just into female elves, right?
Edit: And I like to add that I love it that there are clear signs 'you are NOW getting into a romance'. No more ninjamancing!

So, in this playthrough, Cadash is romancing Blackwall.
And it sounds as if I may have to bump up that Cullen PT on the priority list.

And I'm having a surprising amount of fun in the Western Approaches. Yeah, I don't find deserts beautiful in the slightest, but it's fun wandering around and sticking a flag in stuff, and it seems as if there's a lot of that going on there. Plus, there's a bit of bunny-hopping to do, but it's *nothing* like the Storm Coast or the Hinterlands. Yeah, I know, jumping is fun, but when every quest involves jumping on something... it starts to feel uncomfortably gimmicky, as if they found a new toy and they're making sure everybody knows about it. That takes emphasis away from the quest and places it on the mechanics of getting there. I'm not thinking about why I'm collecting these shards, just how many effing rocks I'm going to have to hump across to get it. In the Western Approaches, most of it is just climbing a ladder or finding a way around a rockpile to get what you want. Plus, that fortress is totes badass.
Funny thing, though. The height of your jump seems to depend on your character's height. With that one shard that was on top of the rock island in the Hinterlands, near the dragonlings, I tried forever to get my Cadash up it, to no avail. Tried it with Iron Bull, and bounce, bounce, bounce, right up to the top.
Cass and Vivienne have great banter. Blackwell and IB seem to have *none*, which is surprising. Bring Blackwell, Varric, and Dorian around and you get brilliant banter, though. Blackwell teases Dorian about his drinking and asks Varric to stop describing him to everyone as a big, hairy lummox. And they both dish it back. It's a lot of fun.
Cass and Varric spoiler...
Also, I'm starting to learn my way around Skyhold. It's now only taking me two or three tries to find the right room. Can't find my way back to Cullen's office, but I seem to remember it opening onto a battlement or something.
