So, there is tile in the Keep, 'Did Hawke approve of Anders' actions at the Chantry?'. Does this tile necessarily reflect Hawke's personal stance on Mages vs Templars and/or their friendship/rivalry with Anders?

I had a lot of Hawke's that did want Mage Rights and were friends with Anders, but could not see the justification of the 'bomb'. Will this be overwritten because of that choice?

I think that tile just means did Hawke help Anders blow up the chantry or not?

I think friendship and rivalry have nothing to do with the tile because you can be friends but disagree with his decision or rivals but agree with his decision.

All I know is that on twitter they've mentioned that (though I don't know if they were stating or if they were confused as to the question) that if you pick the 'didn't support' tile, it means you break up with Anders at the end even if you romanced him fully.

I figured that but I hope some mention of their romance is still mentioned.

Please. Not again. They removed Cullen tile. They had implemented the whole syncing so it will be hard to remove existing tiles.

They removed the cullen tile after the syncing system so that's not really the issue. The issue probably connects to DA:I. If that tile triggers a plot flag then it needs to stay for now.

Well then. I hate seeing these tiles getting deleted.

I'm... not asking for removal? I'm asking for clarification?

It seems clear to me. Whether you supported the mages or not and whether you sympathised with their cause or not, the text beneath the tiles refers explicitly to Anders's actions in destroying the chantry.

Therefore, even if you were his friend and supported his beliefs, as long as you reprimanded him for actually blowing up the chantry and killing the Grand Cleric, then you did not approve of his actions.

Similarly, even if you spent the whole game sympathising with the Templars and disagreeing with Anders, if you turned around after the chantry was destroyed and said you thought it was necessary, then you did approve of his actions.

I always took it as whether Hawke approved specifically of the actions Anders did at the Chantry. It's totally independent of whether Hawke and Anders were friends or whether Hawke helped Meredith or Orsino.

Just remember that we will not be moving Hawke, and it makes sense that they want as more details as possible when it comes to his/her opinion on the current situation, since they can't get in our heads. Actually I'm glad: my femHawke approved of Anders' terrible choice and I would have been displeased to see her criticizing it.

This was answered by a dev recently.

The Keep only recognizes romances at the end of the game. So therefore, if you list Anders as romanced, mark your tile as "disapproved" and that Anders is alive, then they're still together.
