Are they safe though? Like I'm not going to mess up my system by installing these instead of the recommended ones?

I have a quad core above recommended specs and I can't play it at all.
And not a peep from EA/Bioware anywhere on ways to try and fix it either.
Downloading the Intel drivers now... will let you know in a few minutes....
Do you have dual-core and dedicated GPU?

I only have issues when I try to go into the options menu to turn off persistent gore and other such settings. That's when it crashes for me. But the CC is lovely, so...
Do you have dual-core and dedicated GPU?
Yes..to dual core...AMD Radeon HD 5450 2GB~~~ but the Intel drivers error~ "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software" on the second try.. I got this error "This operating system is not supported".
Is it also true this is ONLY happening with the digital download version of DAI?

So all the driver did was tell you what the actual error is?
I think it's been pretty clear the game won't run on dual-core with no hyperthreading... which is why I'm upgrading my CPU. But...what about i3/quad-core people with integrated? Does the driver work if they run on integrated?
If you're having trouble with the game, Install the driver. It's for the Intel HD graphics. If you have a dedicated GPU, take the display device plug out of the dedicated and connect it to the integrated GPU. See if that works.
People say its also a problem from pre-downloading, so i Uninstaled my DA:I and im starting to Doenload again with the AMD catalyst, and the driver and anything possible. I have a Dual Core. Has anyone Done that and finished downloading and set the game to Work Well???
PLZ PLZ PLZ say something. I feel like a Owen knight looking for the Sacred Ashes over here. u_u

The game won't work with a dual core, but there have been reports of the game working for the i3 processors with 2 cores and hyperthreading.
So I downloaded the game on my laptop, and just finished the prologue.. Playing on low graphics, faced no major lags and my laptop held up better than I expected.
Another thing I noticed was that the game got a lot better once I downloaded and installed the latest AMD drivers, everything loaded so much quicker! But it means my "Gaming PC" is basically useless as it can't even get past the loading screen! So basically my laptop is apparently a better gaming rig than that! ![]()
Once i get home I'm going to try the window mode trick and see if it'll make the game work on my PC!

Butter 50% of people today still uses Dual Core. So It seems Bioware is shrinking a lot of its customers...
I Dunno if they want to lose all that money. o_o
P.S. Wats hyperthreading?

Hyper-Threading is a technology used by some Intel microprocessors that allows a single microprocessor to act like two separate processors to the operating system and the application programs that use it.
Essentially it pretends to have the 4 it needs.
Sounds like the loading screens are to blame. How the hell would a loading screen use more resources than the game itself?

Could be part of what we've heard rumoured. That the drm encrypts pretty often, so maybe that's when the most activity is being done?

How do i see if mine have Hyper-Threading? Its Intel® core 2 duo CPU E7400

If that's true, it's such a massive waste of the processing power. Could it be why the game needs multiple cores? the DRM uses up too much processing power at the start, causing a bottleneck in dual core systems and not letting the game start?? (I'm just guessing guys, no clue if this is even remotely close what happens)

No hyperthreading for your processor. I think only the i series processors and some of the Xeon processors have hyper threading.

Google search it.

It doesn't look like you do if you have the base model...But that's all I can tell you from my side. Maybe bring your computer into tech support.
It does not actually "freeze" my system.. it just doesn't launch the game. I can still move the mouse pointer around on the black screen.
ADDED - Origin says I've played the game for an hour.. ![]()
Hey there guys. My game is running at a very bad framerate.
I have>
HD Radeon Saphire 7950
Intel Core I5 3450 3.1
8 GB Ram
Please help, I installed the beta driver for Radeon, and still it's very slow.

You may want to check your task manager and see how many processes you've got running. DA:I takes up 95-100% of my CPU currently, so you may have to shut down everything else.

im only running DAI, what can I shut down?
Also is my machine able to run it? I just cheked Can You Run It, and it gave me a great perfomance.
And I also teste my computer on another game, Rome Total War 2, and everything runs smoothly,

Then nothing else. I was just meaning if you had internet or itunes open or anything else.
I'm really not very tech knowledgeable, I'm bumbling around like everyone else here.
