should m8, it be a quad core
Oh, ok, great. I really should bother to learn what all the stuff inside my PC actually means(I bought it pre-built and all I know is that it can handle pretty much anything). Thanks for the help ![]()

OK, now I'm worried with all this talk about the game being unable to run on certain machines. I have an "Intel® Core i7-4770 CPU @3.40GHz" is that OK to play the game?
Is that a joke? That's a new Haswell CPU and one of the fastest Quadcores.

No joke, I genuinely have no idea what any of that stuff means, my machine is a mystery to me. Like I said, I bought it pre-built.

To teach you something any processor that is i7 is good enough for Inquisition. The only i7 that are with a question mark are for laptops since their kinda the same as a i5 for a laptop because those with a question mark have only 2 cores and 4 treads as the i5. But even then chances are you are good since the game will think you have 4 cores and will start at least that is my opinion.

Well, that explains why pre-built PCs are much more expensive then their parts.
It's really easy to built your own PC. A 3-year-old could do it. Just go on a forum and ask for recommendations.

Bioware HELP THIS #$%#$%#$BlackSCREEN BUG!
There is definitely something wrong with this game on PC. The first time I created my male elven mage in the first scene where gender-specific dialogue occurs Leliana and Cassandra used both VO lines, for male and female, at the same time. And after that the game decided that my male elf was to be considered female by NPCs. And I just got my first crash after extended play. Display driver was reset. Not cool BioWare. I had hoped this game wasn't going to be a buggy clusterfuck like Skyrim.

That's on AMD and Nvidia. The game is officially out in several countries and they still haven't released the promised new drivers.
The male/female problem is weird though. Probably just a wrong flag somewhere in the save file.
My game freezes almost everytime on the main menu. Managed to get into the game once and make an archer, but restarted to tweak the graphics, and now its back to freezing on the main menu again. If repairing doesnt fix it, ill just wait till midnight when my xone copy unlocks.
Sig, is there any chance i'm able to get my money back, do i have to wait till tomorrow? I tried going for the refund options but there was none -__-
I would write to request soon. Some people have said you only have 24 hours - maybe write Customer Support.
I'm getting the exact same problem! My pc is above all minimum specs except for CPU (mine is a AMD Athlon II x3 455 3.3 GHz). My CPU works in the exact same way with this game and others (on 60%-70%) and it ran Battlefield 4 quite well, but still I'm getting the black screen! Da **** is going on?
Get a refund. You are below minimum specs.
Why is crossfire disabled? You are not using all your systems power.
AMD Athlon II x3 455 3.3 GHz
CPU is probably too weak or the problem could just be an outdated graphics driver.
But can the CPU really affect the game this much? It's only 0.1 GHz below the minimum... it shouldn't be that meaningful, should it?

Probably not. People should just wait for the new graphics drivers. Hope AMD and Nvidia release them tomorrow.
I use an AMD FX-8320 Eight Core Processor 3.5 ghz AM3+ cost me about $140 at TigerDirect with a Radeon R9 270 2 gig vid card I should be good to run the game when I get it.
maybe your 3 old may be able to build a computer, but I cant, neither can alot of us, so stop giving that kid BS for buying a prebuilt computer.
So.. none of you guys and gals bothered to read the minimum specs and saw quad core was a requirement?
NONE?
mine is a quad core cpu, but still freezes sometime on the main menu screen lol dunno why. other times it's fine. a friend of mine who has recommended specs also had same issue. so not sure, maybe it's optimization or something. can play fine tho, taking a break now xD
This is the first Bioware's game based on Frostbite 3 engine, give them some time lol
i have no choice to buy a chip processor A10 5800k FOR THIS UGGGH
