I'm having the same problem. I get to the "Click to start" screen, click and the EA servers load, then it freezes and then the sound cuts off and nothing happens... I'm running the minimum specs to play this game. WTF

Intel core 2 quad Q6700 2.66ghz

4GB ram

Geforce GTX 560 Ti (updated drivers)

Windows 7

Thank You Bioware. Now I have to spend another $200 atleast to buy a good quadcore intel processor to run the game! I can OC my dual core cpu ( Intel Pentium G 3258) to run faster or atleast as well as most i5/i7 processors yet it's not good enough to run DA:I.. daft

Post the relevant information from DxDiag (System and Display). The system config is not enough.

As always, update your graphics drivers. Latest AMD is 14.11.2.Beta,

Mine is quad-core also.  Game plays fine If I can get past main menu, but getting past that is the problem.

Yep, that's what happen to me lol I can play it, but once in awhile it just keep stucking on main menu. It works much better when I play offline. And no I don't use vpn to unlock the game.

But the minimum specs was shown well in advance, so how can one blame Bioware for ones PC not being strong enough? If it says minimum quad-core, and you knew you had dual-core cpu, why blame Bioware for that? It makes absolutely no sense.

here too..

tried the multiplayer 4 times..on all of them i got the black loading screen..

That's probably Denuvo .. the anti-tampering software or because you have a dual core or need to update the drivers . Have you applied the update patch that came with the game?

Is this a buggy release? or poor quality testing on Bioware's part?

Hard to say. The new drivers seem to solve a lot of problems and many people have no problems at all.

Probably like with every PC game. Weird combinations of hardware and drivers break the game for some people.

The biggest bugs will most likely be fixes in the next few days.

Hi. I dont know really if i can buy the game.I don't understand much about computers so i hope you could help me.

AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon™ Hd Graphics (4 CPus) 1.9 GHZ (the game needs at least 2.5 GHZ)

8 GB AM

AMD Radeon HD 7640G + HD 8600M Dual

If i understand correctly my pc its a quad core, then it should work. I'm not really sure about the CPU speed requirement (GHz).Games with higher requirements work fine for me but i'm not really sure about this one.I don't really care about ultra graphics. Whit this PC, it would have a "decent" performance?

The requirements state that it requires a quad core, If one does not meet them then you should not have got the game. Also CPU power is needed for AI parts. A lot of new games will need decent CPU's.

I will also add that quadcores and above cpus are not a new thing. Infact they have be available for close to a decade now.

I do not have a actual quad core but laptop i5 dual core with hypertreading and boost and it works with my integrated video card because I did not noticed that it used the integrated card not the dedicated one.

Your i5 is fine. Its only the older non i model dual cores. I can't guarantee how well it'll run because actual cores>hyperthreading but you should at leat manage low on that spec alone. Remember though guy that Intel and AMD aren't made the same way. That being said, your integrated card will run worse since it must share memory and if your card is intel you will only get mystery driver updates every few months. I wouldn't on balance take the chance if your card is integrated and you are unsure it can run the minimum specs

My problem with the quad core requirement is that there are so many dual core chips out there that can out perform a quad core processor. So I don't see why a processor that lets me run Bioshock infinite, Diablo 3, etc at max settings is suddenly not even able to start DA:I?!

This isn't the first time I've tried a game with the specs below the minimum requirements, but in those cases one of three scenario's occurred depending on the specs of your computer. One, The game just crashes when you try to run it. Two, the game works super slow and is almost unplayable. Or Three, The game actually works fine in low settings because your computer specs are just below the minimum requirements.

What's happening with DA:I is something entirely new! It's like Bioware has the game set to " Don't dual core systems to get past the welcome screen"

You can play on high/ultra. YOu don't have a dual core or an integrated/ card. Even though Intel CPU's>AMD your 6 cores automatically qualifies and you and your GPU is a super middle class 3D card

Bioshock infinite's minimum is a dual core and diablo 3 requires a dual core maximum. Additionally dual cores in the i series are fine since they have hyperthreading

Expect this quad-core requirement to became commonplace going forward. The current gen consoles have eight cores.

Anyway, for the people with Nvidia cards having problems, I found this link with an early release of the 344.75 driver with optimizations for FC4 and DAI, download at your own peril: Nvidia 344.75 Desktop Driver and this is where I got the link: http://forums.guru3d...ad.php?t=394788

I'm at work now, so I won't be able to test it until later in the day.

I'm gonna try this on my laptop with i5 mobile cpu. But I'm pretty sure my core2duo e8400 would outperform it(like it did on most games anyway) if I could at least start the game.

I just don't undesrtand why would they forbid(maybe they didn't, maybe it just doesn't work) core2duos to enter in game.
