I don't know what's happened, but when I woke up today and continued playing, the game ran like smooth silk. Yesterday, the game crashed every five minutes, there was severe stuttering, the cut scenes took forever to load, and there were unexplainable frame drops even when my character was just standing there.

Today, all of that is gone, and I have even been able to crank up a few things in the graphics settings, and still see a nice smooth framerate.

I can only presume a day one patch was applied when I loaded up the game today.

I am extremely happy with the game's performance on my old computer (Q6600/AMD 6550/4 GB Ram)

Here's a strange occurance/situation (likely due to drivers that aren't optimized):

I have two GTX 660 SC 2GB cards running in SLI. With the game on 'High' settings, both cards were maxing at 99% usage but everything ran fine. The only problem, my PC kept rebooting randomly. That's not the strange part. It's just that my PSU is in dire need of replacement and becomes unstable under heavy strain.

The strange thing is, I disabled SLI and the game still runs just as smooth with only one card handling all of the work. I assumed that since both cards were being used at almost 100% that the game and/or drivers were optimized for SLI, but that's clearly not the case. Once we get a good driver and SLI profile that's optimized for the game, I bet I'll be able to run on Ultra settings with no issues. We'll see...... and I'll keep this thread updated once a new Nvidia driver comes out.

In my case it's: cutscenes stutter, game runs without much stuttering on high details, can't select mantle

I have an i5-3570k at 3.8Ghz, 8gb DDR3 ram, 2GB HD7870 and windows 7 64bit. According to the graphs I will be able to play on high settings. Can't check till Friday when it releases in the UK. Can't wait.

i5-4690k standard clock

8 GB RAM

GTX 780

1080p

Win 7

No problems whatsoever but this is a fresh install of Windows with like 3 programmes installed.

The autodetect put everything at Ultra and textures at the one above Ultra, and I got average FPS 45, min 36 according to the benchmark. I'm reducing some of the settings to High though to get a consistent 60 fps. Cutscenes are awful stutters though

LAST TIME !! Cutscenes are locked to 30 fps.

Looking around the cutscene fix CAN cause a few problems.

My first experience was not grea too. i'm running with a i5-2500k and a 270x. But  after I update my vga drivers and was able to turn the Mantle on, the game gained a huge performance boost. Now I'm playing on smoothly with most settings on high and a few on ultra.   And its not the optimized driver yet, so I assume the experience will be even better in the coming weeks.

Hi. I dont know really if i can buy the game.I don't understand much about computers so i hope you could help me.

AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon™ Hd Graphics (4 CPus) 1.9 GHZ (the game needs at least 2.5 GHZ)

8 GB AM

AMD Radeon HD 7640G + HD 8600M Dual

If i understand correctly my pc its a quad core, then it should work. I'm not really sure about the CPU speed requirement (GHz).Games with higher requirements work fine for me but i'm not really sure about this one.I don't really care about ultra graphics. Whit this PC, it would have a "decent" performance?

Ok looking at other forums do not use the cutscene fix. Can cause errors here and there

i5 4690K @ 4.7GHz

8GB DDR3

EVGA GTX 980 4GB @ 1518MHz max

All settings at Ultra (except for MSAA which is set to 2x) running at 1920x1080.

Played just over 3 hours thus far and haven't had any issues. The frame rate for me (outside of cutscenes) is quite smooth. The in-game benchmark with those  settings gave me an average of 62fps with 55 being the lowest. That is pretty much what I've noted thus far actually playing the game. There have been some sections that have dipped as low as 48fps but it hasn't bothered me too much.

The biggest issue with frame rate is when cutscenes come on. The huge delta between the regular frame rate and the 30fps for cutscenes really creates a choppy experience. I realize there is a work around available but I think I will wait for more optimized drivers before doing any tinkering with settings. So far, I can live with the choppiness in cutscenes.

Other than that, my experience thus far has been quite good. The game looks absolutely beautiful.

Game runs horribly. Stuttering every few seconds, tanked FPS in cutscenes, and this weird audio bug that happens occasionally where people chirp in the middle of a word or repeat the last word they said. Running everything on medium-low except Mesh which is on high, because the only known cure for the glossy hair plague is high settings or better. I've reduced my screen resolution to 50 (whatever that means). Through lots of tinkering I've gotten the cutscenes to be watchable, but any cutscene that involves an area transition lags horribly while textures, people, and objects pop in all over the place.

For meeting 75% of the recommended specs I feel like I should be able to play it at a decent frame rate in almost every scenario since I'm running it on subpar settings. But I'm lucky if I can maintain 30 FPS, much less 60. Hilariously enough when I run the Benchmark in game it says I have 64 FPS on average with 53 as a low. Pure BS.

Haven't had a single crash though, so there's something at least.

How are the load times with mantle? Especially if one is using a HDD.

Specs

Resolution- 2560x1440
CPU- FX 8350 4.2ghz

GPU- AMD 295x
RAM- 8gs

All drivers up to date.

Unfortunately I am getting horrific results.
My benchmark average was 17
I get 18ps on ultra in game.
On low i get 25fps.
Can NOT select mantle.

Alot of stuttering, horrendous load times, tons of flickering.

How should I solve this.

Have you tried updating your drivers, the new beta drivers that recently just came out are for dragon age inquisition. They should allow you to enable mantle as well. Do you play Battlefield 4? If yes, does mantle work on bf4?

How are there still no damned drivers for this thing? They developed it alongside Mantle, how the hell does AMD stuff not even have drivers out at launch? What happened to such a run of the mill part of the PC process? Even Unity had a driver out the day before it launched.

Also, I'm with everyone else here. It plays like BF4 did before it got all it's fixes. It's not dropping frames half the time, it's just stuttering. The Fraps framerate counter shows me at consistently between 40 and 60, but the jumpiness is still there. I have SLI 660Tis, and I haven't encountered the rumored SLI bug, but I'm safely within the green zone when it comes to running this game at least on high and it's still dropping bad. Got a really weird convo with Varric in Haven where his lip animations, and just single sets of them, would drop frames. So his speech would stop matching up to his lips and then it would jump back to catch up for a bit before going out of sync again.

Amd has new beta drivers out

Just read back and saw that, but they weren't out at launch which is still kinda nuts considering DICE was helping them dev Mantle.

Okay, just did some digging it would seem that 344.75 exists, and some websites know about it, but for whatever reason Nvidia hasn't released the driver. Not really sure what they're waiting for.
