Acoording to the chart in the OP my 660ti I should be set for high settings, but after reaching certain areas of the Hinterlands I had to drop most settings down to medium (Textures still at ultra, Meshes on High). Seems to me that the stuttering and unstable framerate is more of a CPU issue than GPU. As soon as the game is running all 4 cores jump up and down and often reach 100% cpu usage. Granted, my processor is not a powerhouse. i5 3570 3.4Ghz.

I have updated the drivers fully and dropped all settings to Low. Still 15-20 FPS in Hinterlands. Just about 20-25 in other parts. Still very low for my specs.
What is your resolution? Maybe you could use the resolution scaling slider and drop that down (I haven't actually touched it but I'm assuming it's for letting you keep the HUD elements and text scaled to your native res while letting you drop the engine's graphics down similar to Dota 2's setting.) At 768p or 720p you should be doing better unless that CPU is really bottlenecking you.

I'm also seeing way worse performance than I should be getting according to this chart. The charts say I should be able to run Ultra at 1080p; instead, running on High at 1080p, I only see 40-50 FPS despite having:
i5 2500k OC'd to 4.2 Ghz
Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 OC'd to 1000/1350
8 GB RAM
Beta Catalyst drivers

Specs in sig.
The only way I've found that I can run it at 40-60 FPS @ 1080p is put everything to low (except meshes high for the hair) and resolution scale to 80. It doesn't look terrible and I knew I wasn't going to be able to play at high or even medium but I was hoping at least a few medium settings but it isn't to be. Even at these settings it dips into the 30s in very crowded areas like the crossroads in the hinterlands.
Are you using the latest AMD beta drivers?

Anyone here have a gtx 780 what have you found to be optimal settings? Not sure what i should raise or lower. I want gameplay at 60fps right now im getting 45-50 avg in fights with lots going on.

Getting some pretty serious stuttering issues here, with everything except resolution on low and the resource hogs mentioned earlier in this thread disabled. I'll get maybe 5-10 minutes of smooth gameplay, then it drops very sharply to the point of being unplayable. Specs are: Intel Core i7-3630QM @ 2.4GHz, 8gb RAM, and the GeForce GTX 675M with aforementioned driver update. Don't suppose anyone has any other ideas for what I could do to smooth out the performance?

I'm having serious issues with my PC version. Abysmal loading screens, stuttering gameplay and cutscenes. My game is pretty much unplayable right now. I hope this is fixed.

The best advice I can give, having the same card, is to just tone down on some of the effects. They don't pretty up the graphics enough to be worth their respective performance costs. Things like MSAA, occlusion. I've gotten it to where I can run mostly 50-60 fps, but places with a lot of NPCs or monsters always bring it down lower.
It also dips at really odd places, but that's another issue entirely.
Mostly it depends on what you're willing to give up.

Don't think that chart is accurate!
My (now ancient) rig is a
Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q9400 2.66ghz
HD Radeon 5970
6 gigs RAM
and by the accounts of the graph, I should be alright running on high settings. The thing is, I scrape by with avg 15 FPS on all low settings, and 1024 x 780 resolution.
I'm also using the new beta driver from AMD, 14.11.
either way, i'll have to hold my inquisition off until after santa clause.

I think someone earlier in the thread said shiny hair was a mesh thing, so you'll probably want to check and see what it's set at.

Same situation, mate. Maybe 10 minutes of really smooth and high FPS gameplay, but afterwards it's a stuttering party(every 4 seconds, more or less). Practically impossible to play. I really hope they release a fix for this.
Specs: Intel i3 3.30 GHZ, 4GB RAM and MSI Radeon HD 7870. High-Ultra settings, Low AA and no MSAA.

I get a Direct X crash that happens every time during the cutscene after walking towards the breach in the beginning of the game.
I updated windows, radeon drivers, direct x, installed C++ distributable...restarted...my computer far exceeds min requirements and I've never overclocked anything before. I've also tried all the solutions in a thread where many other people seem to be having the same issue:. http://answers.ea.co...t/false/page/10
Error:
"DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
GPU: "AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series", Driver 14.9
(14.301.1001-140915a-176154C)"
I would really like to play the game I preordered for 60 dollars ![]()
I am worried by EA's response to a similar issue found with a Battlefield game...they never definitive solution but dozens of maybe solutions:
http://answers.ea.co...th-dxgi-erro...
If that's what we're getting I'd like a refund, can anybody who's successfully gotten one point me in the direction?

Windows Technical Preview
Amd X1100t six core, overclocked to 3.8ghz
2 Nvidia 970's SLI
24 gig ram
2xWD Velociraptors in Raid 0
Asus 144hz 1ms monitor
No issues at all... The only "issue" which isn't one really is the 30 fps cutscenes. The game runs with no stuttering and smooth as butter until the cutscenes. I haven't had to update drivers or install anything special. Just run the game on origin. I am using kb/mouse so far but I might try my 360 wireless controller because that seems to be the way to go. I seem to be swinging my weapons at the air a lot using kb/mouse..

Hi, I'm getting a bit stressed reading about all the issues people are having with the game. It's not released where I am yet but I'm wondering if anyone who knows about these things could tell me if they think I'm going to run into problems. I'm sure that the game will run on my computer because my husband built it last week to make sure that I'd be good to go but he's away and I'm a little concerned that something won't be right. I'll try and include the right information:
Graphics card - Nvidia Geoforce GTX 980 Overclocked. I'm pretty sure it's the graphics card that's overclocked because he made a big deal of telling me about it. Something is definitely overclocked.
CPU - Intel Core - i7-4790k @ 4.00 GHz (8cpus)
Operating System - windows 8.1 pro 64 bit
Memory - 16384MB ram
Direct X - 11
I'm just copying this from the diagnostic tool, so I hope it's the right information. There's something about memory in the Display page too but I put the info from the system tab because that seemed to be where most of the other information was kept. If I've listed the wrong things let me know and I'll try and find the other details.
Thanks for your help. ![]()

What are your graphics options set to? I don't think a 760 would be able to play everything maxed out if that's what you are trying to do.
