Currently using this rig:

AMD Phenom II 830 Quad Core Processor 2.8ghz

8 gb Ram

Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 OC 2GB

Was able to run the game at full 1080p, with a mix of low/medium/high/ultra settings. Turned off MSAA and if I recall correctly post processing is set to low. Meshes/Textures are set to high, and special effects are set to ultra. AA on low. I have not actually checked my fps, but it ran rather smoothly 90% of the time. I would get minor stutters in the hinterland areas from time to time depending on where I was and how many npcs were on the screen. No doubt my processor is to blame mostly I suppose, but it runs pretty good considering my setup and I did not have to really sacrifice much quality. Played for 4 hours without a single crash, so far so good on that front.

Awesome

Those specs are quite low, so I'm pretty sure you cannot run the game. :/

Thanks. I'm just so gutted at this point because it's also looking increasingly like I won't get a refund for the game so I can't even afford to replace it with a PS3 version. :(

For anyone in the same situation, I can confirm that the game seems to run smoothly on a GTX 580 at high with a smooth 60 FPS during gameplay, and some frame stuttering during cutscenes. Minor.

System requirements lab aren't really very good at telling if you can run it

Are the people here with high end ATI cards able to enable Mantle? With my R9 290 I can only choose dx11.

I have R9 270X, but I can't enable mantle too.

On a somewhat related note, is anyone else having trouble getting RivaTuner to work properly with DAI? For some reason the on screen display just refuses to work.

On Mantle:

Do a clean install. Unnistall your current drivers, clean up with ccleaner or whatever. Install the new beta driver.

My gpu ain't boss but mantle is working for me.

I just made a thread and then realised this one existed. :) My specs are:

Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

CPU
Intel Core i7 2670QM @ 2.20GHz 63 °C
Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology

RAM
6.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. N55SL (CPU 1) 64 °C

Graphics
Generic PnP Monitor (1600x900@60Hz)

Intel HD Graphics Family (ASUStek Computer Inc)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M (ASUStek Computer Inc)

Now I had gone to canirunit which said I could (based on minimum specs) and yet when I run the game, even on the lowest graphic settings, I'm getting 4 frames per second....4.

I hadn't really anticipated the game wouldn't run at all. It's sitting on each load screen for maybe 5 minutes and when I got to the cc it was so laggy it was virtually unplayable and when it launched the actual game the graphics wouldn't even load properly.

So gutted. :(

That's hard to believe. It should run smoothly on 900p low settings. Are you sure you have the latest driver? I'd also wait for a patch.

Yeah that's an interesting graph. My card 660ti is best for "High" but my processor the I5 3570k is best for "Ultra." Going to have to try and see if I can get a mix of both. Might try turning off the MSAA but I must have ultra textures. Going to be interesting getting the best fit for this.

I have the same gpu and cpu. I'm playing on high with ultra textures with msaa disabled and it runs well for the most part. 45-60 fps across the board. Lowering mesh detail to medium makes it a steady 60fps but by god, that hair...

I used to this decide whether to preorder for PC or PS3. It said DAI could run on my laptop but since installing and launching I've discovered it can't. It's not taking into account the drm which is a massive processor gulp...

I'm on a laptop and I can run it on high, with shadows and some environment stuff turned to medium and no AA. Intel i7 4500 U and Nvidia Geforce 750m. Performance is quite good, it  only slows down when a lot of people are onscreen. But out exploring, it's totally fine. Cannot comment on framerate, because I am not measuring it, but I'm sure I am north of 30fps.

SLI 970's here and works a charm. Custom settings with everything manually at ultra and 2x MSAA benchmark gives an avg of around 55 frames at 2560x1600. There is some graphical issues atm but I expect them to be ironed out when we get updated drivers and Day 0 patch.

So did you have to force SLI (via Nvidia Inspector), or did it work "out of the box"?

Its not denuvo, which is neither drm or a processor hog. Wait for drivers maybe.

I thank AMD for mantle and Bioware for implementing it.  Running min 41 and max 60 fps with ultra and 2x msaa.  Without mantle min 14 and max 25 fps on ultra without msaa.  Xfire R 290.  Settings  2560x1600.

Stuttering and tearing all over, crashed twice, locked up entire computer.   Doesn't seem matter if the settings are on ultra or medium

Running:

i7 5930

2 GTX 980 in SLI

16gb DDR4

Hope it's fixed soon.

**Disabled SLI, working better so far

2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M (ASUStek Computer Inc)

This is the problem.  The 635M is quite slow and is definitely not able to handle this level of graphics.  I suspect that most laptops short of the high-end gamer models will struggle with this game, and any other "next generation" title.

It's not a great card, but it seems like it's about equivalent to the minimum requirement. So if it's really doing that bad, that's odd.

Try checking with gpu its using by rclick on the exe, since DA:I just came out it may be defaulting to the Intel gpu.

Thanks for the info! Is it worth it then to lower the mesh detail or should I sacrifice a few fps just for the look of the chars?

Make sure that the game is actually using your dedicated graphics card, and not Intel chip.

Check with for example GPU-Z (or many other programs) if there's any load on your graphics card.

Also find out if you have the latest drivers (for GPU).

It should be able to run it, it's better than minimum requirements card (quite significantly).

SLI is heavily bugged as of know as far as I know. New NVidia drivers should fix this issue.

I immediatly cranked the meshes back up after I tried it. The hair looks like lego otherwise. I haven't had time to really play around with the settings though, so there might be other options. And hopefully we'll get a steady 60fps on high anyway when Nvidia releases their driver.

That's my thinking. Keep the mesh on high (having just had a look at some screenies of the medium and low mesh results) and hope a driver release gets us right back to 60 fps later in the week!
