So the automatic updater only gave you version 334? 344 is the newer ones but you'll have to download them manually. But of course newer version might not help at all if it's a problem with something else.

That's the same error message I'm getting (only mine says 344 and not 334), and I also have a GTX 660.

I think we have to wait for an update from NVIDIA.

Yes, sorry, it is 344; I copied it wrong.

So what does this mean? Does it mean my PC can't play the game?? NVIDIA is the graphics card, right? How long do you think this will take? (I am a former console player... I bought this PC, my first gaming PC, to play DAI. So I know really nothing about gaming on PC)

No crashes for me at all with my gtx 970. Although i do encounter freezing if I stay in the menu for too long.

Usually when big games come out, graphics card companies like AMD and NVIDIA release driver updates.

AMD updated their driver a few hours. NVIDIA so far has not released an update.

I checked to make sure that my graphics card wasn't overheating (I posted a picture on the last page) and it wasn't. Just to be sure I opened my case and blew out my card even though the card was just installed earlier this month.

I think at this point we might have to wait for an update. :/

According to the charts posted, I should be able to run this on ultra, yet I get micro-stuttering constantly and completely random framerate dips. This is among the worst performance problems I've had with a game on release (not counting server debacles with online games). I'm gonna try for a bit longer, but if it doesn't start to improve I'm not gonna play anymore until they release an update.

I have an NVIDIA 760 GTX w/ latest driver w/ an Intel I7-3.1 w/ 32 gig ram and the game will not get past the intro.  Frame rate drops, then crashes completely, the error message from NVIDIA says something about bad command coding...  WTF?!?

Okay. Thanks for explaining this for a noobie idiot like me :)

Will it help if I lower the graphics settings? I had everything basically on high. Do you think it will still crash if I put it on medium? Or do we really just have to wait for an update?

Well right now I have a mix of high/medium settings. I don't know if it can help but you're welcome to try.

Terrible preformance here with an i7 930, 6GB RAM and a GTX 470.

What resolution  and settings? If 1080p you should be aiming for med/low no aa

It's on medium and even then I turned AA off and shadows postproccessing (I hate DoF and blur) to low.

As someone whose using a laptop that was actually able to run BF3 at relatively decent settings Inquisition is hitting me pretty hard. Granted it's probably my damned GPU.

CPU:Core i7 3720QM @ 2.60GHz
GPU:1023MB NVIDIA NVS 5200M

RAM: 8 Gb
Display: 1920x1080

Curious to how or if I can boost my graphical settings if at all possible because the game on low has some glaring issues (the hair being shiny as hell, Christ.) Technique I should be able to run this game at atleast medium-low yet going all down to low still has some performance hits.

For those interested in beefy set ups posting my results. Not sure if its an sli issue but gpus fluctuate wildly during saving, menus, cut scenes, get about 20 - 30 fps. The usage went down as low at 15% on gpus, not sure  if its my set up or just sli issues. Gameplay itself 60 fps stable. Lowest i seen was 57 fps. Everything highest settings at 4k no aa. Note, vram usage around 3 gigs most of the time, for aa at 4k looks like more vram would be needed. Game looks gorgeous. Also some weird flickering with some shadows, some textures? Not sure whats going on there.

2x 780 ti @ 1255mhz, 7.5 ghz vram

That's a documented SLI issue already.

Holds a steady 50 FPS with minimal occasions dipping into the mid 40's when a lot is going on. At no time does the game get choppy or stutters and even at 45 FPS remains fluid. This is probably due to the 4GB of VRAM the GPU has.

Everything is maxed out with post AA on high and MSAA off.

I wonder if I could chnage my direct x settings from 11 to 10 to see if they could fix any issues but unable to because apparently my machine only supports just direct  x 11.

There's no way that list is anywhere near accurate.

I'm running the Phenom II 965 BE which is listed as green (which means "optimal"), and the starting area instantly puts my CPU to 100% load with massive pauses and stuttering as a result. I'm not surprised by that, of course. The Athlon 965 is a five year old CPU, if not older, but it's still pretty amusing to see it listed here as fine when it can't even handle the most basic environment in the game.

Have GTX 760 2GB and i5 4690 @3.5 and I can barely play 10-15 minutes at a time before it crashes. This and Unity have been some of the worst launches I've gone through. Frames and look seem to be fine, it only dips or staggers when theres large amounts of fire in the area. Beautiful game just wish i could play it proper....

Also temps are average. CPU hangs between 125-133F and GPU is roughly the same.

My computer meets all the min requirements, but I haven't even gotten to chargen yet. :/

It keeps crashing even when I am just trying to get the options menu to make sure the graphics weren't set too high!

Update: Got through chargen and into the intro, about two dialogue choices in it crashed with the "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed message.

I did the AMD update however, so I'm uncertain if my video card is just that shitty even with the update or I'm just that screwed. I'm not willing to throw hundreds of dollars to improve my desktop just for one game...

Also seeing shimmery textures using SLI, but far worse are the cutscenes stuttering even with the framecap fix.. hopefully tomorrow's potential driver release will help.

Running SLI970, 2600k @ 4.6, 8gb DDR3 1833 @ 1440p, maxed detail, hbao 2xmsaa and I get between 57-90 FPS, in some cases up to 100. SLI usage is good and regular and tactical gameplay is nice and smooth for the most part., couple hitches and framedrops here and there. Also, no crashing, which I was worried about.

I'm using iCafe 344.47 drivers btw.

Very pleased tbh with the performance i'm getting.. a bit more optimization and driver support to stabilize and potentially boost framerate would put it over the top.

7950SC w/FX6300 here 8GB DDR3@1833@1080P and I'm seeing 35-41fps on the benchmark.  No crashes, I have had two hard locks with the most recent AMD cat's running on mantle.  One hardlock on DX11, had low to moderate hitching and frame drops prior to dumping it on a SSD.  The SSD though has sped up load times by a lot, 2min to 30sec.  Probably my biggest complaint would be only being able to run it on high at the moment--and that's most likely due to driver optimizations that need to happen.

There are some technical issues.  I'm running a R295x2 with current drivers, but Inquisition won't let me enable Mantle.  And while I let the game suggest graphics settings, and then I turned them down, the game still stutters fairly often.

Could you add 2011-3/x99/Haswell-e to info please?

Also see this for more FPS while the game is displaying many npcs/moving objects/lots of abilities on screen at the same time.
