Apparently my laptop (Acer Aspire V3-571G) satisfies minimum requirements to run DA: Inquisition (according to Can You Run It)

Also, would my PC on low settings be better than my PS3? I'm not sure what the difference will be.

I know the content will be the same, but since they're the same price, I want to go with whatever will give me better graphics!  :)

spec:

CPU:intel core i7 2,4 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3,4 GHz

8GB ddr3 memory

NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M with 2GB dedicated VRAM

15,6'' FHD AcerComfy LED

1000GB HDD

Thanks!

If you are unsure your computer will run (or run, but poor quality) just buy it for ps3 instead. Then you will know for sure it will run and run well. Console is good because you know the game is gonna work, at the most all you need to do is update and patch. With PC you can run into a plethora of issues not pertaining to the game itself that will prevent you from running the software. Not to mention once you actually get the game to run it might be too taxing on your system and decrease your experience. Not saying that will specifically happen to you, your computer looks like it has the balls to run the game on decent settings. Just keep it in mind. Also there's the wasda/mouse vs Controller debate to consider...

Thank you:) I think you're right. I'll follow your advice and buy the version for PS3 (moreover I'm a bit clumsy in playing without a controller indeed! XD )

Well, you could always connect a PlayStation or Xbox controller into your PC and play that way but you still run into the possible issue of crashes, underperformance and other assorted errors.

I'm a bit biased since I've been a console gamer my whole life and only use a PC for gaming for things like Diablo and civilization. My experience getting those games to run properly was brutal and I'm pretty tech savvy. I like being able to buy a game and instantly playing it without worrying if my PC will melt trying to run it, or having to deal with the hassle of updating drivers, direct X, Windows service pack blah blah blah.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the game! I'm on ps4 or I'd offer to play some coop with you in the coming days.

If you set the settings to low it will run faster than the PS3 which has a graphics card based way back on the 8800 series I believe. Now having said that if you pump up the graphics much you will run into some performance issues.

Well, PS3 is a joke compared even to my GT555M and GT730M > GT555M, so PC it is for you (1080p medium 30fps if you're lucky)

to Foe-jarmer: I would have your same concerns about the possibility that my pc jams:( too bad you are on PS4(I had in program to buy it but some recent expenses forced me to postpone (T_T)

to Aurawolf & Tensoconix: so, just to be clear, in your opinion DA:I on PS3 should be worse even than the PC version on low settings? ( there are some who says PS3 version will have some parameter on medium) :- /  I guess I have to wait and see :- /

finally found a video which shows DA:I on PS3 (www.youtube.com/watch?v=XS6D03OQE8k) . This is instead a link to a video of the same part of the game but on PS4 (www.youtube.com/watch?v=34ZQ4uGDJEo&list=PLyxwW-5Ey5n5iJn-pw8Y1nlZlhIw5Pq7a&index=1)

I hope to get something in between on my PC.  :?
