I'd really like to know this as well, tried every possible key on my keyboard now with no luck. Did they really only make it available to controllers?

I was looking for this, too. Is this really the first Bioware game without a walk toggle?

I just responded to another thread about the same thing. I literally just decided to take the plunge and order, but if I can't walk as I did in the previous installments I may be using that great game refund or whatever it is and waiting to see if it's implemented later. Being forced to run around constantly would genuinely kill my immersion and thus the experience for me.

Honestly, don't see what's the big deal between walking and running. I'd personally wants to get to places faster.

If you RP walking is essential. Frankly I don't see why they would exclude it from the PC game. All the ME games and DAO and DA2 had a walk.run toggle. This one doesn't?

it has walk 'toggle' if you play with gamepad (analog stick) but there doesn't seem to be keyboard equivalent

A toggle walk button isn't hard to patch in, Bioware. Get on this.

I was actually really surprised at this and a little disappointed too - is walk available on consoles?

This also surprised me. Not something that takes a lot of dev time, so no reason to not have it.
Lazy.

Yeah, kind of ridiculous that there isn't a keyboard button to toggle walking. Come on.

Yeah, I don't want to sound petulant or whiny, but I can't bring myself to play even the opening sequence with my character sprinting around like a maniac. Breaks immersion.
Tried playing with a controller, but it's hard to maintain the light touch on the joystick and it's generally uncomfortable.
Posting in hopes of drawing more attention to this.

Oh My God!
I have been waiting for this game so long and finally at midnight... not being able to walk just ruins it for me!
On Reddit someone mentioned a day-one patch. Please Bioware, PLEASE, add a run/walk toggle very, very soon!
ARGold - 57 and still gaming!

Come in to vote on wanting this.
There is some toggle run something [I don't exactly remember I need to get home first] in key binding? the button is 'G' I think but I remember trying it and it doesn't do anything.

Yes please add a walk/run toggle, it's such a necessity in an RPG like DA, hook us up please.

Yes please patch in a toggle. Kinda insane how much of a step back the mouse and keyboard controls are from the previous two games.
