Add a toggle walk/run please...I hate running everywhere. Much like KOA  where to stop running you had to skid to a halt.

yeah, what's up with that? i'm 'stuck' after SPOILER tutorial boss fight SPOILER because i want to slow walk past the people loving me :D but i can only run so i just won't play until i find walk toggle lol

I feel your pain. I did play through that part because I wanted to advance but it sucked hard. Completely killed the immersion.

Yes, please do fix. This is obviously already implemented (since it works with a controller), just not wired into the keyboard.

People, there is a toggle walk/run, it is in the keyboard commands.

The default key is G.

Nope, that's auto-run. I thought this to be a toggle for walk/run when I saw it at first as well but it turns out it really is just an auto-run feature so you don't have to press the forward button all the time.

Which is kinda ridiculous because it is utterly useless while auto-attacking, something that would make sense, was cut from the game.

The funny thing is walking is already in the game since you can walk with a controller if you connect one. Just seems to be missing a keyboard toggle for no apparent reason.

Is there some way to actually get bioware to patch it in? RPGs without this are kind of ruined for me.

It's patchable; the question is more like, will they patch it?

I have a feeling they just won't care and will pass it off as a minor inconvenience that people will forget about eventually (especially given the fact that you can walk if you use a controller).

Funnily enough, I never knew there was a walk/run toggle in previous DA games. I just ran everywhere. And I didn't think too much of it, really.

But now I know there is a walk animation... I want it.

Please add a walk/run toggle, it's such a necessity in an RPG like DA.

Please Bioware, for the sake of immersion and role playing, give us back the run/walk toggle!

I really hope this gets patched in or a modder figures out a workaround at least.

It is interesting that it is available on console but not on PC. I had assumed it was cost cutting - forcing us to run everywhere would reduce the number of animations. But if it is in the console version why would they not put it in the PC version?

Sounds like incompetence to me... a hypothesis that seems to be supported by the rest of the PC controls and UI. (Didn't they have PC beta testers?)

But on the bright side, if all theses things are just incompetence, maybe they will get patched in eventually.

Count me in! Walk is very important, not just about the immersion, it is annoying when your character move in a narrow(such as in-door)  and always cannot get a comfort range to a NPC/Object.

SO PLEASE PATCH AND FIX THIS.

Bioware:  you now have two hot topics in suggestions about run/walk toggle:

http://forum.bioware...k-button-on-pc/

Will someone please tell us your plans???

Let's keep this topic HOT folks until they reply.  If you look at the highest post counts in this forum they all have to do with sex or gay gameplay.  Can we get bioware see this issue through all the noise?

Reason it works on controllers is they are Analog, while keyboards are Digital. With that being said they really should have added a run/walk toggle. Hopefully they patch it into the game.

Yeah :/ This is just poor. Makes you feel like you are not in the game... I want to walk around cities and listen to chatter... You can't do that when you're SPRINTING past every citizen in the game...

Pretty Poor.

+1 Signed.

As an RPG the lack of A walk option on PC breaks the imersion. I am aware that EA is trying to sell the game to more of the "Next Gen Console" crown (And yes I do have a PS4) but I have had all of the DA games on PC and enjoy these types of games more on PC. Please put some consideration into the PC version of the games control's.
