For me the tactical camera doesnt scroll out far enough. But thats just my personal opinion.

When in tactical cam view, selecting a party member jumps the camera to them.........would LOVE it to be a toggle as i would rather it not jump.

DA:O all over again.

Go into a dungeon and try to use tactical mode. You can't see a d**n thing because the camera refuses to zoom out.

That's hilarious ... LOL here (from the viewpoint of someone who hasn't paid money for the game yet, waiting a bit for comments on the multiplayer to see if that's going to be soon).

...I hate to be that guy, I really do.

I am on my PC right now playing DAI with M + KB and honestly? It works fine, and all that crap about the inventory UI? Bull, cause it works great. It's smooth and quick on the keyboard and drag and drop works like a charm. Does it looks more "console-ly"? Yes, but it does not take away from the pc experience at all.

The cam? Yeah, could be better. Needs to probably draw out another 20% or so, but otherwise its fine. Used it in caves as well with no issue placing pcs or issuing orders, never lost sight of anything. Honestly the only one issue I have had with tac mode has been me pressing space all the time to pause, which is funny cause my guy ends up jumping like a spaz before I notice I am ****** up. But otherwise, I am not sure how it supposedly doesn't work.

Does either you people are weird, or this is the personal opinion of someone who somehow convinced Bioware to design a M+KB format that works just for me.

I bought a new gaming laptop to play DA:I. This news is... unsettling. I hope it isn't too bad. I had only played DA games on Xbox 360 before this.

The controls in DA:O and DA2 were great, but it is so hard to play DA:I with these completely awkward PC controls and the annoying camera. There is also so much crap on the screen that I can't even see very much in tactical mode.

If you are not in tactical mode, then you can't give orders to your teammates either. You must be in tactical mode to give orders, but in tactical mode you can't see much because the camera sucks.

It is so d**n frustrating to play...

^ Me playing DA:I with mouse + keyboard.

Does this remind you of Microsoft and Windows 8.0?

LOL  I would love to see your reaction if they suddenly changed all your WASD movement options to something you can't do.

Yes, that's what they've done to DA players who have always played with mouselook.

That would not affect me, like, at all.

I can play both mouse or wasd, either work fine by me considering I have no preference between the two.

As long as I don't have to use a controller to play anything but sports + fighting games, the fact something can be played with a M + KB set up is already good enough for me.

So, yeah....

Edit: Wait, you said CAN'T do, you were very specific with those choice of words. Oh ****, did i just mock someone with some form of physical disability? Oh come on, that ain't fair. That's entrapment damnit.

It certainly isnt bad.

But the controls do have issues imo. And many people will be thrown by some changes if they are used to them from previous games.

I really want Mouse 4 and Mouse 5 to be bindable (sp?).

Interesting, 'cause I have a gaming mouse with 12 programmable buttons.. Tomorrow I may turn blue..

Having to wait for the bending animation when looting gets annoying really really fast.

It's refreshing, actually. I found the controls slightly clunky at first but once I had some time to fiddle around with everything its quite fluid. I would also suggest everyone swap the space(jump) and control(pause) keys.

The only people complaining are the ones who refuse to change and adapt, there will never be DAO:2.

All depends on your preferences i guess.

Lots of little annoyances imo which could be improved for better quality of life. Especially the tac cam not scrolling far enough.

Really dont like the pulse for highlighting objects.

Not only is the range small imo, but the items dont stay highlighted for long so you resort to spamming it.

Not only can I not map buttons 4 and 5 in game, I can't even map them to key presses in the logitech utility and have the game recognize them. It's almost as if they're deliberately disabling those buttons.

Lots of changes for the worse from the DAO interface. No Alt search. No "always search" option. No auto attack. No auto follow target. No auto move to loot. No drive with rmb+lmb.

Can I please have back the interface from 5 years ago? You had it right then; just dust off that code and slap whoever decided to "improve" it.

How dare EA/Bioware deliver a game that does not have a JUST RIGHT JUST A LITTLE ALMOST THERE... PERFECT controls for every platform it is on and its not like they can improve them later they HAVE to be perfect at release, RIGHT NOW!!!!! I am soooooo not buying this game because of this!!!!!!!!! Oh wait... I pre-ordered it... Ops, well I am not going to play it now!!! They thought they could trick me with good story telling, strong characters, and fun game mechanics!!! Joke's on them!!! I totally showed them!

Well if it's WASD, I'll do fine I'm sure once I get used to it. I've played games that set up, and If it's the other way, I'll also do fine once I adjust. Although, DA2 used to drive me nuts until I got used to driving everywhere with my mouse.

PC gamer since the mid 90's with my last console in the 8 bit era.

Absolutely loves the M+KB set up in this game.

Try harder.

This lack of auto-attack thing is the one thing bothering me... Like..... WHAT???

Not being able to bind mouse buttons 4/5 is a really surprise to me, specially since: 1- most people nowadays use mouse with more than 3 buttons (even non-gamers) and 2- I remember Mike saying on stream more than once (and maybe even other BioWare employees) that PC keys are completely bindable... Seriously, WTH?!?!

Also, I'm not sure if I got it right, but the mouse button (Left and Right) that someone mentioned here seems really awkward, but I will get a feel tomorrow and see what it is.

I prefer to pass judgement when I actually find out, but after all this development cycle and all the delays, this seems like basic things that they "forgot" (either they really forgot, overlooked, just wanted to ****** everybody off or really designed this game for consoles, which is the worst of it all).

We will see... Hope they can patch the problems once they see people are really unhappy with basic stuff like this

Personally, I dont know how good/bad things are, but from what I is written here (even from people just annoyed and not just "attacking" BioWare) there are some really concerning aspects to the fan base. I personally didnt try it out yet, so I cant say much myself, but you are just attacking people the same way some people here are attacking BioWare, which really gets me to discredit your opinion (which is a shame, you seemed constructive at first)

That said, change is always hard to deal with, specially when some of those, for whatever reason, really aligns with things that fit better for consoles. Thats why people pull out their pitchforks. I will try to have a feeling myself and then I will comment on this more precisely
