I don't mind the numbers.  I'm just very sad (and somewhat surprised) that Leliana isn't one of them.  Also, I would have loved to romance Vivian.

Being a greybeard of 63, I'm starting to get a lil scared by all this romance talk. Will NO mean no?

Just checked out the available romance options for my inquisitor. 
Extremely disappointing!
Why are there so many male romance options and hardly any female ones?
There are only 3 female romance options, one of which is only interested in women (and she is the only good looking one). 
But there are 5 male romance options (one of which is only interested in men).
Seems a bit unfair to me. Anyone else sorely disappointed with this?

 

Why are there so many male romances and hardly any female ones? : Because there are more male characters than female. At least, available to us as companions. Also because 2 more male romances were added during extra development time, Cullen and Solas. 

 

Most people were wishing for equal amounts of options for everyone, trust me. This board was rooting for that and nearly everyone I saw agreed that would have been awesome. But what's done is done and they wrote the game the way they wanted to. Female humans and elves are the only PC's that get more options, as a result of the 'extra' romances. Everyone else has the same amount of options available to them as they did in DA2. Unfortunately, it can't be helped if you don;t find your options attractive, that's a subjective matter and ends up being just bad luck.

I wonder if you had the same complaints with other games having more straight female romance options, mm?

Also, I don't get why all these guys want to bone Sera so badly. I think she's the least attractive of the three female LIs, from what I've seen so far, both in appearance and personality. I honestly think it's a wanting what you can't have thing.

 

She's blonde and funny and an elf.

 

I'd bet the straight dudes most unhappy that she's a lesbian are also the ones who aren't thrilled that we "get" Cassandra. They're polar opposites.

Well, different people find different qualities attractive. I myself am attracted to Sera but can understand why others aren't. I've seen some straight males even saying they were glad she was the lesbian option because they found her the least attractive of the female LIs, so I don't think all of them feel that way, but there may still be some bitterness there from her not being available to a male character.
