Mages. I've only ever sided with templars once and that was for a DA2 achievement. Unless an achievement's involved, mages all the way! ![]()

I hate the Templars so damn much I refuse to EVER get those achievements on DA2...LOL!

This is one of the reasons I'm leaning more towards my human mage first over my dwarf warrior so I have somewhat of a stake in this decision. Obviously as a mage I will side with the mages.
As a Dwarf I honestly don't care either way, it will be a coin flip unless in game provides me with enough information to make a real decision.

Mages...I think...yeah, mages. But the whole Trevelyan family being close with the chantry and Templars makes me want to add to that to create a story.

I will save whoever irritates me the least and/or whoever has the nicest butts.

I lean toward mages, but it kinda depends on the situation the story provides us. I don't support total abolition of the Circle, but rather a serious reformation, so I'm not sure what route would really help with that. Total mage freedom sounds nice but sounds rather irresponsible too. I'm sure the likes of Morrigan would love the idea, but what does a feral forest witch know anyway?
In DA2, it was an easy choice for me, because I simply didn't believe that the Right of Annulment was justifiably invoked. That, and Bethany was also part of the population pegged for execution.

From what I've heard, you can apparently decide what will happen to the mages if you side with them, from complete circle abolition to putting them back in circles.

Anders, I executed in DAi and I'm pro mage... but Fiona?.. I have no clue why there are so many individuals that want her head.
They are just trolling.

Fiona was the one that made the choice in the 1st place despite the disagreement the majority of the Mages being against her action.
Everything they do is by vote, unless there is more video that I haven't seen Fiona would not have made the decision herself. And is there any indication of what the majority of mages think in game?

I am a bit more concerned about the consequences of the decision. I could see you siding with one side resulting in losing the extremist on the other side, but I would hope there is an option to somehow recruit over the moderates of the other side....

After seeing the above, I kinda get the feeling that the game wants to you side with the mages, at least initially.

No, wallowing in wanting to personally gut her goes beyond that.

That's just the trigger that unlocks Redcliffe town. There are quests there, and you get to meet Fiona, Alexius, Felix, Connor and of course Dorian. Then go back to the war table and choose a side.
Templars. Once I get rid of Lucius.
Fiona has clearly lost the plot
