Alright, something that really bothers me. Might be a stupid question to someone, but not me.

On the Xbox, you can tap lightly and walk around, not run..

Anyone have found out how to turn off the run on computer? I would like to walk around, exploring, not running.. Anyone have a solution? I can't find the option in the Key settings.

Thank you,

I rather play with keyboard and mouse. It's just a little annoying when you RP

I'm not running the game as of yet, but have you checked Shift/CapsLock?

Those are usually default keys to toggle between walk/run in games.

Tried those, nothing works.. I think there might not be a walk/run button in the game :|

Use the controller for walking and keyboard mouse for everything else? Or can you only use 1 at a time, which you need to go to settings to enable?

I think you are only able to use one. I don't have my mini usb here, so not able to try it out. But I doubt it will work :/

Tried every keyboard settings :( Can't find it in the Key bindings either. As I said, I might be totally blind( I really hope so)

I know its not a very big deal, but for us that RP some.. It's kinda important :)

Count me in as someone who cares about the lack of walking.  Kills immersion when you're sprinting all around town.

Maybe there's an .ini tweek that can be done?

That genuinely disappoints me. I'll be absolutely livid if there's no walk option. I won't use a controller as I don't enjoy them nor the machines they're made for and I want able to walk as I enjoyed all previous installments of this series without one. It seems like such a simple thing.. I hope it'll be in the first patch, but something tells me it could remain missing indefinitely.

Edited for typo

I so agree with you my friend. I feel it's just too stupid to run around all the time

This is what it is in the first two games. Just on the off chance has anyone tried looking under "Options/Controls" as these sorts of things are usually listed there.

It sounds like it's going to have to be an ini tweak, unless it's patched in later.

I'll look into it when I get home later.  In the meantime if anyone wants to look through the various ini files and see if the key bindings are listed.

There may even be a binding for walk already created, just not referenced in the config screen and not yet bound to a key.

Would be fantastic if you did figure something out :)

I'm surprised its not there.  I want/need walking also.  Probably achievable through user.cfg ... someone will find the command for it.

There is probably a method of doing this via the user.cfg but as I haven't unlocked yet I haven't got any configs generated to look at. You can walk in BF4, its likely theres a way to get it to work in DA:I as well. Surprising with the amount of mobility improvement that DA:I reportedly has one of the things that apparently wasn't considered necessary was the ability to toggle between running and walking.

NOOOOOO. PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS A WALK BUTTON. NO NO NO NO. I just started a thread about how I'm going to try walking everywhere and there might not even be a walk button? I'm really upset by this. Nooooooooo.
