If you were going to try it, check with someone who has done it, as it can get a bit tricky (from what I've heard from others who have done it.) You can experience complications if you have any interruptions with the download that way, although I'm not familiar enough with the technical jargon to follow the details of what those complications are.

You only need the VPN client to unlock the 'Play' button, not to download the game. Ideally, you would've preloaded the game already.

Yes, many people are playing already even tho the game only releases in their country in a few days.
They say they didnt have any problem with it, just requires using vpn everytime you log Origin (with the exception of switching on/off on preload for faster download).
After you've done the first time and have uploaded the Keep World State and saved the game at least once, you can have Origin in offline mode, or just unplug your internet and you can play all you want with no problem what so ever. Or so they say....

I've been using it. Just be aware it times out after awhile. So don't sit around watching the menu screen

Did these people need the vpn active when they opened the game and connected to the dragon age servers or just when logging into origin?
