The Keep should cover more decisions.

When I heard about the Keep I thought it was perfect. My hard drive crashed along with my DA files (I stupidly ignored the cloud option). So I created a list of all my decisions to prepare for the Keep. But I found a lot to be missing. Including things that carried over into DA2.

 

Where's the option to say the Warden slept with Isabela and Leliana (and later broke up with Leliana)? Where's the note about ,Leeliana and Alistair being hardened?

 

Any way, thought I'd post my list just to give you an idea of things I tracked and thought might be covered.

the issue with adding more choices is speed and complexity. The more tiles in the Keep the slower it becomes. If any plots have connections to another one it requires more programming.  When they decide to add more it depends on what the fans are requesting (which you should be submitting your plot suggestions in the Keep) and other factors they consider such as whether that plot has real potential for content in the future and difficulty in adding the tile. For example they probably won't add too many origin specific plots. Boons will not be added, small things such as how many gifts you gave a companion etc.

Hardening alistair/leliana is indirectly referenced in Goldanna and Marjolaine's tiles respective.

 

During closed beta they had polls asking which plots people wanted more out of three choices per game, arishok's respect and genitivi's fate were the popular vote but since they're focusing on bugs and making sure it works for DA:I they'll add them later on.

Some of the issues you listed (fate of the companions in DAO: Awakening, for example) have already been suggested by others, so who knows? They may happen (but almost certainly not until well after launch). 

 

In addition to the technical issues, however, another problem for the devs, is that different people want different things from the Keep. While some have suggested ideas for more tiles, others have complained that there are already too many. Some people don't want to spend hours recreating every single decision they made, especially if those decisions aren't going to affect DA:I.

 

The balance between completeness and relevance is a bit of a juggling act!

Please also bare in mind plot relevance. The Prisoner at Ostagar is already being touted as an example of a meaningless tile. ("Why isn't there a tile for X when there's a tile for the Ostagar Prisoner?") And it's true that it's very unlikely that decision will have an impact in future titles. So perhaps the best thing you can do is select a couple of decisions you think would be most meaningful and request them.

 

For me, if they add the Orlesian warden in Awakenings, whether Sebastian chose to be prince or priest, and perhaps the fate of Brother Genetivi, then I'd consider the Keep done.

 

Maybe fates for Velanna and Sigrun too...

Didn't they say that the Keep will be used and expanded for all future titles until further notice. I believe if they have plans later on that link to a decision not yet in the Keep they'll pop it in later.

I'm so sick of people whining about what the keep doesn't cover and then putting in crap like what the Warden did with Isabella in Origins. Especially when there are a few things that could actually matter, such as the aforementioned Messenger because the epilogue implies he is spreading the taint.
